The Siren Hotel, an Ash Hotel

Some people complain about the size of the rooms and the street noise. You're in a city--rooms will be small, and there will be street noise. If you don't love the Siren, I suggest you never travel to Europe. :) The Candy Bar is tiny but top-notch. I highly recommend it!

Very interesting hotel decor. There is no pool or hot tub but there was lot to do around the hotel we didn't really need it.

The Siren Hotel has great aesthetics in the public spaces and is located centrally in Downtown Detroit, but I find its guest rooms lacking. The rooms are clean but not very well maintained (e.g. broken drapery and dripping faucet). Front desk staff was nice enough to switch me from a small noisy room to a larger room at higher level though.

I loved everything about the Siren except they didn’t have parking so I paid for a valet which was cheaper than most of the other parking lots and garages

This is an amazing Old world boutique hotel that just makes you feel like you are stepping back in time. Loved everything about it! Such a cool vibe. Had a great cocktail during cocktail hour at The Candy bar downstairs and loved our complimentary lattes in the morning at the cafe. The location is also TOP notch! Would def stay again.

The the building is architecturally very interesting. The main problem with the hotel is that the rooms are really really tiny. Our room, which is not the smallest room had no chairs no place to put clothes other than ledges underneath the window and the bed was too small. The location is excellent for downtown Detroit.

Staff put us in the wrong room. Then upgraded for a fee to a room that still didn’t have a king bed.

My room was right next to the People Mover and it was disruptive. Spiderwebs (yuck) in my room and the TV did not work. The staff in the café were unprofessional and inhospitable. Disappointing, however, my first stay was fantastic and I would visit again and hope for a better experience.

Everything seemed clean. It is a very dark hotel. Dark hallways, dark everything. The room was cute and quaint. The staff was okay. not overly friendly, but fine. Be aware, the wording is pretty deceiving on the free drink with room. It is actually a drink at the coffee bar and only for one guest. Not well stated and you have to ask for it. The candy bar was not open even though it said it would be. The location was great and very convenient to everything in walking distance. Overall it was nice and met my needs for a place to stay. Just don't expect anything exceptional

Loved this hotel. Very cute and classy boutique hotel; updated and clean. The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. Easy check in/check out, and a free coffee with our stay. Our only note is that the entire hotel was very dimly lit, which for those over 40, can be a bit challenging (ha)! The hallways were dark, and the restaurant (pizza was delicious , btw) was lit only by candlelight. We had to take out or phones to be able to read the menu (but we highly recommend the Red & Green pizza)!

This hotel is in a great location for attending events at Comerica park, however it is in a night club district that entertains until 2:00am. If you are looking for nightlife & after-party atmosphere, it would be great, if you are looking to sleep, it doesn't settle down until after 2:00am

Cool atmosphere, great staff and a perfect location downtown.

Rooms clean and tidy. No coffee service in room but café with coffeehouse food and dri ks in lobby. Space quaint and good energy but small. Small group gathering 8 or less only. Cute hotel bar called the the candy bar. Nice stay at a reasonable price. Rooms clean and beds comfortable
