Atlantic Oceanside Dewey

The location is great but the cleanliness and shape of the rooms have gone way down hill (we’ve stayed here 4 times). The toilet was not cleaned (I had to clean feces off the seat) and there was a dead fly on the bed. We won’t stay here again.

Basic beach hotel rooms opening to three levels of balconies around a parking lot. No elevator so carrying things up and down stairs is a bit of a hassle. Good location on the ocean block side of Route 1. Can be noisy. No ocean views except for one unit. Walkable to bars, basic restaurants, beach shops. Parking is tight, extra daily fee.

Cons: resident cricket in the wall chirping all day and night. Bathroom needs to be renovated. Ceiling needs to be repaired. Walls/door are paper thin so can hear loud noises or people walking by. Air conditioner extremely loud when on. Pillows were flat. A head board would be nice at the back of the bed. The room did not look like the pictures that were advertised in terms of condition of the room but we were in a “pet-friendly” room so maybe that’s why it looked the way it did. However I think all rooms should be kept nice and updated. We will definitely go to Dewey Beach again but will probably try another place to stay.

hello. this is advertised on expedia as ocean front and ocean view and it is neither. they told me that they have this issue every time with expedia customers as it is falsely advertised and they have asked that expedia to correct it but they haven't. i did not stay and have asked expedia for a refund

Closeness to the beach. No complaints at all.

We have been staying there since 2003 and always enjoyed ourselves. Since new owners took over not so much. Need to be cleaner and property is unkempt. Charging me $15 a night for parking when you are paying to stay there, not good. Also the sun deck is filthy. You need to do better.

The room was pretty clean, except for some sand on the floors. Bathroom was clean pretty good. Some ceiling tiles were discolored from a leak from above. First room we were assigned was in a corner under stairs on first floor and was pretty musty smelling. Asked for another room and it was much better, thanks to the person at check in for helping on that. All in all not too bad of a stay.

I loved the location. We walked everywhere. I loved how the Coffee Mill was in the same parking lot. It was perfect for pets. The bathroom sink needs a proper soap dispenser for hand washing. Guest want to feel cleanliness. Our shower was missed being cleaned when we arrived. It was full of sand and fur. The room lights need to be on dimmers too.

Close to the beach, dog friendly and had an area for dogs to potty with fake grass

The location is perfect. So close to the beach and lots of bars and restaurants. Shopping too. The room did need some deep cleaning. We stayed for 2 nights and would need a cleaner place for a longer stay. Or to return. You’re paying for the location. Easy access to the Coffee Mill is a plus.

This hotel is so outdated. I can’t believe how much they charge for the night, We had to cancel our week reservation because it just wasn’t anywhere near acceptable!
