Hyatt Place Dewey Beach

The Hyatt Place in Dewey Beach was very nice and clean at all times. The breakfast that was included was delicious. I would recommend the hotel to anyone

Well, of no fault to the desk attendants, the computers were down when I arrived, so check in took forever. My biggest complaint however, was the noise. I was placed on the first floor near a utility room so there were around-the clock noises and doors opening and closing - it was So disruptive, even with white noise. There were also dogs barking early in the morning; I would not have stayed here if I knew dogs were allowed (or brought my own, who don't bark). Lastly, the morning desk attendant did not know where to rent beach umbrellas and chairs. The hotel is IN DEWEY BEACH. Ridiculous.

Nice location and hotel!

Breakfast buffet was great and varied every morning. Hotel staff were all super accommodating, professional, and friendly Hotel was clean and very dog friendly.

Unfortunately we were next to two rooms with dogs who barked constantly during the day, not a deal breaker, hotel was clean, perfect location, and wonderful staff and a good breakfast, we will be back.

my room window was on the indoor pool side, which meant it was always grayed out and there was no direct sunlight. Staff was friendly, helpful, and kind.

Website and reservation said free parking but it is not free parking.

Floor had sand on it and bed felt like it had sand in it, We never went tot he beach due to the weather. Other than that everything was great.

All of the staff we dealt with were friendly and accommodating. Our room met all our needs and the location was near many places we went to.

Such a cute spot to stay. My family and I loved it and so did our pup!

Property is part private condos and part hotel. The parking and elevators are not marked, do not go to all floors and could end up on condo side. Staff was also confused and sometimes gave confusing information. Some of the pictures online are of condo only side. There are no rooms with ocean or marina views. That said, the room was clean and spacious, the breakfast was fine, and we found the best elevator and parking on our own. A short walk took you to a small boardwalk and beach and across the street was a walk of two blocks to the ocean. Ideal location, but not what I expected.

Very friendly and professional staff.

The one big disappointment for me was the listing gives the impression that the hotel backs onto the beach. First, it doesn’t. I asked the front desk and they said you have to go around the property. The backside has residences and they have the access. Second, property backs into a bay where you can not swim. The actual beach is across the street and about a 5 minute walk - very walkable, but definitely not attached to the property. For that reason alone, the experience was a bit underwhelming. I am leaving this review so others know that while this is a good hotel, you can NOT walkout to the beach from the property and take a dip into the actual beach itself. Happy otherwise.
