The Bay Resort

great spot been coming to for years! however this is the first year they have charged for parking ...and now charging for early/late check in ...it was nice while it lasted but I won't be going back now

It's kind of sad that for $300. This is what you get! Very worn! The room smelt, horrible! Dirty, wet, dog, dirty socks, not sure what else! Pool was a mess. It says on the website that they offer paddle boards and kayaks, but it's actually another company that you have to rent from. The pictures on their website make this place look beautiful but that is actually not the word I would use. That little beach they show is about 15 feet long. I would never rent from here again!

Good location. Very clean

Location of hotel was great. Walkable to the main street with all the stores, bars and restaurants. Parking lot on property so you didnt have to look for parking. Hotel sits on the bay which was great for us to launch our paddleboards. Bike rack near pool made it easy. Pool was clean. Beds were comfortable.

Having a balcony was nice. The air conditioner was leaking so we only used part of our balcony.

My family absolutely loves staying here! It is right on the bay, a great pool, and a quick 2 block walk to the beach. There’s food and shops, and it’s a great town. My kids loved spending time on the dock and in the swinging chairs on the sand by the bay. We love that we can bring our pup with us, and we continue to come back every year!

We had rented two adjoining Bayside rooms. Bedsheets had stains in one room. The other room had numerous stains on the rug. Ceiling shows bad patching and paint was old and yellow. Otherwise not bad for a place to just sleep and pass through. Price was unreasonably high but expected for prime season. All rentals in the beach areas of Delaware sky rocketed this year compare to last year rates at the same time.

Stunning view of the bay Facilities were not clean. Drove up to overflowing trash container in the parking lot and unfortunately my guest room was not cleaned after the last guest. There was lots of dog hair in the fridge, all over the bed covers, and the bathroom and carpet was not cleaned. I had to go to the front desk three times for help and show pictures. Although pleasant, the front desk could have been more proactive in addressing my concerns instead of simply recommending that I contact the manager in the morning. While the manager promptly answered my email in the morning with an apology and refunded my payment, it would have been nice to receive a call to directly address this. My kids and I were very upset to have slept in unclean sheets if briefly and to have to leave late at night to find another property on a busy weekend

Location was great

The place is totally run-down. Poor service. Stained carpet in room. Check-in process was a fiasco. A very disappointing experience.

The view is awesome! The rooms are dated

Perfect location within walking distance of beaches and nightclubs I really don’t have anything bad to say

The front desk personnel were awesome. Very friendly yet professional. Rooms were clean and spacious. Some plates, bowls and cup were available for use. The place is older but a wonderful and convenient location.

Perfect location. Beautiful view. Mini kitchen updated. Extra fee for parking is ridiculous. Bathroom needs update/plumbing system needs upgrade desperately. Ice machine not working on 2nd floor: replace as it's the beach people use alot of ice.

Superb

We have been going to this property for 12 years. The quality has gone down every year especially when management changes. Pay for parking now, property exterior was dirty all week, They allow dogs in all rooms which makes it difficult for staff to clean. Both rooms booked where full of dog hair on bed and pull out sofa had to get staff to reclean rooms, A/C units dirty and need to be changed out. Fan timers light switches/lighting not working. The worst part is booked two rooms on Bayside when booking with third party. Upon arrival one room on Bayside other on pool side. We will not be returning to this property unfortunately as it’s close (2 Blocks) from beach. We heard a lot of others complain about similar issues. They also don’t enforce there no smoking policy just charge smokers $150.09 extra👎

Location I felt bad for people that were getting towed that forgot to put the thing on their mirror. Maybe the tow truck driver should also have the license plates of everybody there
