Beautiful property!

This was the most amazing stay I have had in a while. I could not believe the value for money. The mansion was beautiful, the room was absolutely lovely. Would definitely visit again!

Very clean.

The Billiard suite was a treat, with lots of charm and comfort. Excellent shower and two nice spacious bedrooms. The inn is packed with history.

The breakfast is minimal. They could at least offer yogurt. I had an issue with the fireplace not working and they took care of it right away. I didn’t have a chance to call them about the television, not working because it was really late at night and there’s nobody on duty at the mansion. If you are handicap and cannot go upstairs, this is not a good place to stay. I was led to believe the Selena Louise room was on a lower floor, but it isn’t. You have to go up quite a few steps as well as the terrace room is not on the first floor. There are a lot of steps to get up to the front of the mansion however, you can use the side entrance which we didn’t know about with only a few steps. The mansion is beautiful and I would stay there again.

Beautiful old hotel with antique style furniture would definitely recommend it and return again.

I really didnt appreciate how tall the bed was off the floor. That should be changed. The space was really lovely and a walk around the neighborhood was really cool since there are so many old mansions nearby!

This was a unique experience. Being able to explore and enjoy a historic mansion was fantastic. Our room was beautifully curated to enhance the experience. We loved it! Early check out time but staff was very flexible with our late check-out requests. No cleaning on Saturday's but this didn't affect us in our stay.

The Historic Cotton Mansion Boutique is a lovely property! My husband and I stayed in the Coachman's Suite which is located in the Carriage House next to the main mansion. The room was very well put together, spacious, and clean! A staff member called me the day before to walk me through the entry process, which was very sleek. Our room had a kitchenette, fireplace, large tub, couch, TV, and shuffleboard table. It's the kind of place that makes you want to stay in all day. Note: If you stay in the Carriage House you still have access to the common areas of the main house. The main mansion is insanely beautiful and exquisitely maintained. I highly recommend staying here and will be back again myself.

Beautiful, well maintained historic property. They have managed to provide modern amenities while maintaining the manor’s character. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The shared areas were extraordinary. A minor complaint was that the morning coffee had run out before 8:30 and there was no one there to replenish it. Regardless, this is a wonderful spot for a special stay. Highly recommended.

Unbelievably beautiful

I’ve stayed in nearly every state in this country. This was possibly the cleanest one I’ve stayed in. I booked it on the road and didn’t have much time to explore the property beforehand and only read the reviews and price. I was stunned at the history and the building. If I’m ever in the area again, I’d highly consider an extended stay here.

Love this historic property - favorite place to stay in Duluth. Our room was beautiful; sitting on the terrace with a coffee or a glass of wine was wonderful; and it is so close to downtown and the U while being tucked into a quiet residential area, it is perfect.

We loved everything about this our stay and this property. The instructions were very easy to follow, we really enjoyed the history audio tour, our room, quality and history. We will definitely be back!

We stayed in the Aquitania Suite which was on the third floor in the back. The room was cozy, comfortable, and quiet. While it was on the smaller side, the common areas more than made up for it. We enjoyed lounging in the library and the sunroom. We really felt like we were staying in someone's home, not a hotel. The house is in a quiet residential neighborhood but it's a very short drive to Canal Park and other places in Duluth. I would not hesitate to stay here again, as I want to experience one of the other guest rooms!
