Quiet location but close to downtown. Breakfast buffet was very good and hostess was very friendly.

The property advertised a pool/hot tub and it has been under construction for quite some time. The room was very clean.

The Hampton Inn is an excellent modern hotel option in downtown Durango. It is just a short walk to the south end of downtown, the Durango and Silverton Railway, and myriad dining options. The facilities are clean, and the rooms are generously sized and well-appointed. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast options were the standard fare. I wish that hotels would offer better healthy options in their breakfasts. We only ate the breakfast one morning; the rest of our stay we ate elsewhere to find food we would enjoy.

This is a great location for the main Durango sights. Its close to the train station and downtown. The breakfast bar was clean and well stocked. The front desk staff asked how we were doing each time we walked in. Great location and a nice quiet hotel.

Pool was not open. I got food poisoning from the free breakfast.

Very nice and clean. Perfect proximity to train station. Breakfast was good with helpful attendants. Front desk gave us 3 page list of restaurants that listed distance from hotel and type of food. This was extremely helpful.

Clean and modern hotel one short walk away from the Durango and Silverton train station. Also has very convenient underground parking next to the lobby. Great location!

The staff was friendly, and breakfast was good. The breakfast-area staff was attentive and very nice. The location is also great—within walking distance of the train depot and downtown area. One thing I will never understand is why new hotels don’t put regular outlets and/or USB/USB-C ports on the outer sides of each bed, even with just a small floating shelf for charging phones. The water pressure was lighter than I prefer, but it wasn’t a big deal. We really liked the extra space and the counter with a sink in the main area. The only things we found odd were with the bathroom in our room, 651. It looked like there was a fan in the ceiling, but there was no switch, and the bathroom got very hot and steamy after a shower. If the fan was supposed to be automatic, it wasn’t working. We also didn’t like that the bathroom door automatically closes. They really need to provide a doorstop or some way to prop it open. We ended up using a towel to keep the door open so the mirror could defog and so we could talk to each other if one person was getting ready or applying makeup in the bathroom while the other was in the main area. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and liked the hotel.

Loved the view, comfortable beds, nice window coverings, great big screen TV, nice mini kitchen area, and good amenities. We were able to watch the trains leave in the morning.

I felt like it was not as convenient for accessing dining options and we were disappointed that the glass sliding door did not latch properly. This is a significant safety concern, especially for guests traveling with small children.

Excellent location! Within walking distance to food, shipping and the train. Very helpful and kind staff! Overall, we had a great stay!

We liked everything. The location was within walking distance to the train, museum, and shops. Beautiful setting and the temperatures were perfect 55-75. The only thing that comes to mind was the parking fee.
