Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Durham Southpoint

Fantastic value…beautiful hotel and decent rate. Highly recommend. Convenient to both UNc and Duke.

The location is good, the staff is friendly, the property is overall very clean. Two issues with our room, 1) the AC cover kept coming partially off, although the AC worked very well, it was quite cool, and 2) The shower kept leaking water onto the floor despite best efforts to use the curtain to contain the water. This apparently has been an issue for a while since the drywall is damaged in that corner from constant wetting over time. Lastly, we stayed 4 nights and only had the room made up once, and that was at our request. Not sure if that's the policy now or not, but it would have been better to have been done daily without requesting it. That said, we would be content to stay there again as it is a short 13-18 minute drive to UNC Chapel Hill, which is why we were there.

It was great, clean, fair priced, nice staff. Just hate we couldn’t use the pool but we enjoyed our stay.

Was ok. About what you’d expect Kind of older and slightly run down but not bad

Location was good No hot water in shower. TV would cut out and back on, making it impossible to watch anything. Breakfast was bad. Eggs were cold. Bacon over cooked almost burnt. Waffle was chewy. We will not stay there again.

Our first room smelled like mildew or that the previous guest had an accident in the room. The lobby clerk Matthew was GREAT and found us another room with no smell. He was very professional. The front door to the room had a stain on it that could have been blood or bbq - not sure. The bathroom door had a lot of stains (also red in color and also what appeared to be dye (dark color). We tried to buy bottled water for 3 days - it was out all 3 days.

The room was clean with no trash can and the pool is permanently down for good. They have a empty bar and 20oz sodas but no bottle water. It was just okay.

Location Very humid and loud air conditioner. Breakfast was not great.

Location, affordable and clean. We did t have housekeeping for several days and had to get fresh towels everyday. Finally asked the staff at the front desk to schedule housekeeping each day with h fresh towels. They were kind and scheduled as per our request.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and wonderful breakfast! We come to this particular Fairfield Marriott every time we travel to Durham to see the grandkids. We love everything about this hotel, especially the kind staff members.

Hotel was great and very centrally located to everything Raleigh had to offer. We would definitely be staying here again.

The breakfast was really good, no fans in the bathroom is strange and the bathrooms need new curtains to prevent water from getting out. Maybe upgrade those

Good location in proximity to Duke physicians, decent breakfast Only sheers on the windows so no privacy. Could hear every car on the highway and noise in the hotel, the bed was hard as a rock, and the tile floors were super sticky.
