Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Chattanooga South/East Ridge

The room was very clean. Breakfast was good and staff was helpful keeping the food warm and fresh. Also family enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. We liked our stay there so well on June 25 that going back thru Chattanooga we again stayed again on June 28

Lots of places to eat near the hotel. The hotel and the area are safe, this is our 2nd time staying at this hotel. Our room was clean.

The staff was excellent and very helpful There was nothing that I like

Room was nice except for someone's used wash rag hanging over the shower rod. No parking. The entire back row of parking spots for vehicles was taken up by a semi, a tour bus, and two or three box trucks. There were no spots for individual vehicles. When I brought that to the attention of the desk clerk he replied "Yes, I know. You can park wherever you can but don't block the entrance" When I asked for a refund I was told he could not give us a refund. Fortunately he was going off duty and we were able to get his space, which had a large SUV parked over the line into that space. The selection of TV channels was horrible. Not sure what you're supposed to be able to fit in the micro fridge, it was approx 1'X1' outside, much smaller inside.

The breakfast was not good. No fruit, eggs, ham and sausage were cold.

Very clean! Check in was simple and easy.

What could be improved... Breakfast left much to be desired. Few choices and everything is artificial - orange drink, eggs from a box or something else, but not directly from an egg, only artificial flavored yogurt, etc. My BIGGEST complaint is the way Expedia shows the different rooms at this hotel. It's extremely confusing! When I first booked at this hotel I thought I'd booked a suite with a King bed and sofa sleeper. A few weeks after I booked I just happened to check on the reservation. It's lucky I did because I realized that only SOME of the suites have sofa beds the other suites (which look IDENTICAL) are just sofas! So, I had to cancel and rebook. When I rebooked I didn't realize that there are also regular size rooms that look almost IDENTICAL to the suite that have a king bed and sofa bed! Ugh. So after 12 hours of driving our family, including 2 pets, opened the door to a small hotel room crammed with a king bed and sofa. We had to make up the sofa bed and we were really tight. Highly recommend reviewing what kind of room you're getting a few times if you're trying to get a suite or sofa bed.

Close to main highway in a quite area and could walk to restaurants Nothing

The kids loved the clean pool area. The facility overall was pretty clean. The majority of the staff was friendly and accommodating. Some staff members were not welcoming and seemed bothered by requests for extra towels. There were not enough towels and wash clothes for the number of people we had in each room. The coffee pot in the room was too small and did not have enough coffee for the number of people we had in the room.

Location for Chattanooga attractions, ease of getting to room (1st floor), price, heated pool & hot tub Incident in pool area prior to our arrival: pool closed at first for cleanup due to other guests misuse! After reopening, toilet paper debris still on wall around pool area, in pool restroom, pool ceiling and in pool water - not large amounts but not thoroughly cleaned!
