Comfort Inn Edgewater on Hudson River

The room was clean other than I did see a few ants throughout our 3 days there. As always, the towels were thin and small but that is any hotel. (I really think hotels need to start providing bigger towels!) There was shampoo and conditioner and lotion provided but no body wash which is odd but not a big deal. The breakfast was great! Cold and hot food, a waffle maker, yogurt, fruit, baked goods, eggs, potatoes. A really great spread especially considering it’s included! The only thing is I thought the coffee was terrible. Staff was friendly though we didn’t have a reason to interact with them other than check in and check out. Cannot beat the location if you are wanting to go to NYC! Awesome views across the river and easy walk to the ferry or the bus picks you up right at the top of the road. Would definitely stay here again!

A lovely view of the river from our ground level family room. Well air conditioned, access to the hotel could be better due to local developments. Very comfortable queen sized beds. Breakfast had the basic options, not the best. Overall a good stay

The hotel was decent, balcony is nice. Breakfast is free however they’re usually over crowded. Beware of the housekeepers!! I left my Samsung tablet, called the next day and it was gone. Asked to speak to manager and lady who answered said she’s not here she can help. I explained about leaving my tablet, then she mentioned she was the manager, Shanti, left me on hold for several minutes then a man got on the phone saying she will call me back. That was on Friday, it’s now Tuesday. I accept the loss but the way this was handled was unprofessional. This was my second stay at this hotel but will be the last. This place cannot be trusted.

This time we booked a room with a king-size bed and a sofa bed for our family of four. I was a little skeptical about how comfortable the sofa bed would be, but it truly exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious and had a beautiful view of the Hudson River. The only minor downside was the bathroom. It felt a bit small, the toilet was quite low, and the shower was a little narrow. However, it did not take away from our overall experience at all. The location is excellent. There is a bus stop just a few minutes away, making it easy to get around, and there are plenty of shops, restaurants, and other conveniences nearby. The staff is very friendly and always greets you with a smile. We would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in the area!

The room is not that small, but the bathroom feels too small and the sound of the toilet is so loud that other family members wake up to the sound of water when using it at night. Overall, the cleaning condition is neat and clean.

I was greeted by Desi, who was super nice and helpful. We stayed for one night. The room was spotless and modern. Sheets clean. I’ll make sure I get a room with the view of the river next stay. We missed the continental breakfast. Got up too late!!

Stayed for three nights and it was convenient, clean and quiet. Loved the view of the Hudson River. Would stay again.

Location was perfect for our stay. Breakfast was supposed to be 7am-10am. At 9:30 there was hardly any food.

The location was good. It has walking distance to some restaurants and trader joes. It's also close to Mitsuwa japanese market, so that was huge plus The room had weird smell. It smelled like wet carpet that was not fully dried, and the bed had somebody else's hair. We found short hairs under the sheets, pillows had bad smell.

The room was clean and the view from the balcony was beautiful! The only complaint I have is that the fridge was loud and made weird noises that kept me up at night but overall it was a BEAUTIFUL experience! I also enjoyed being a 2 minute drive from Sojo Spa and all of the great places to eat in walking distance.
