Sonesta Emeryville - San Francisco Bay Bridge

Overall, everything was very good, and I enjoyed my stay. The only issue I had was with the hot tub. I was wearing a light blue swimsuit, and shortly after getting into the water, my eyes started burning badly, which made me think there was too much chlorine. When I got out, I also noticed that my swimsuit had lost most of its color. I think the chlorine level in the hot tub should be checked.

Hotel is conveniently situated to shops, restaurants and a market but parking is $30/night and cars are broken into. We have stayed at other hotels in the area with free parking and no break ins because they have security. They need to address this problem. Rooms are clean and large.

The AC in room 706 took over night to cool the room down from 76F to 74F, I callled the front desk and they couldn’t move me to another room. They sent maintenance up rather quickly, which I did appreciate very much. However maintenance refused it was working fine. It was uncomfortable and muggy in the room. I was too tiered to argue with staff and since I had to get up at 4:30am to leave, I chose to deal with it and stay. I will never stay at this entire chain again nor will I suggest anyone else stay three. I travel often, 2-3 times a month and have never made a negative complaint until now. The AC needs to work during a heat wave, I was very disappointed.

Friendly staff. Clean facility. Very convenient location to mall, restaurants, and market. This is right in the center of everything. Breakfast with good options for hot food.

Nice hotel and a good location. Wish there was continental breakfast included.

Make sure to ask about the breakfast inclusion because they certainly didn’t remind me of it when I checked in and ended up paying for breakfast twice.

I call the front desk everyday to ask for cleaning and they get upset about .think twice before you stay there .

I paid for the breakfast in advance for peace of mind but I regret it because their breakfast was a scam , you don’t have many choices to eat plus when they don’t have many people they force you to eat a little bit from what they give you . I can’t believe the guy at the buffet told me you get coffee or orange juice you don’t get both while my stay was breakfast included it’s funny how cheap they are when it comes to breakfast, even the buffet was so cheap comparing to other places a very restricted choices honestly I’m not used to this kind of food because buffet means more food choices to please customers to come back.I would give their breakfast 2/10 because it’s really a scam to customers. But front desk people are nice and very helpful. The only nice part is parking and front desk workers.

Great location

Staff was helpful and friendly from the beginning. I was able to check in a couple hours early free of charge. When I checked in my bathroom was dirty, I told the staff. By the time I came back it was clean. I received room service every day, be sure to tell the front desk when you check in. Location is extremely convenient, walking distance of all the shops and restaurants are right next to the hotel. Public transportation is close by too. When I came back at night, there was someone at the front desk and I felt safe. They don’t have many cafe options, but they do have a mini fridge with some snacks. If you need a safe hotel, for a weekend trip it’s a good option. There was a convention when I stayed so there was a lot of people, but it was quiet on my floor.

there was no microwave in the room, we went down to ask for extra blankets and they couldn’t provide any, and they didn’t tell us there was a charge for parking or what the price was.

Room was as we expected clean and tidy.

I really appreciated the friendly front desk staff. For the area, this was a really great price for the clean, spacious room.
