We had a very successful overnight stay at Country Inn & Suites in Emporia. This is probably our 5th year of staying at this property. Mr. Patel the manager was terrific and the lady at the front desk (sorry, did not get her name) most helpful and informative. We left a clothing item at the hotel and both people went over and above to help us get it back quickly. The free hot breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Free coffee, tea and hot cocoa all day long, so nice. The location is perfect, walking distance to Cracker Barrel and the new Crab restaurant. Thank you for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Air conditioning didn’t work, it was 77 degrees in my room at one point finally kicked in sometime overnight but as soon as the sun came back up it shot back up into the 70s. Didn’t have room available that I booked claimed they upgraded me to a room with two beds (and the broken a/c) chipped paint, weird stuff behind the vents.. pool was nice.

The property was nice, and it was comfortable. Good value for the money. I liked the fact that I didn't have to give an incidentals hold. I travel quite a bit, and those incidentals hold can really add up. I didn't give five stars because there was nothing exceptional about the hotel to warrant it.

The bathroom had a crack in the tub that was spackled over so no baths even if you have kids. The chair given to us had chicks taken out of the arms. And a few other issues with quality. Other than that, the staff was nice, they allow dogs which is good, and the breakfast was perfect for a free buffet.. room conditions fine for me but not at all worth 100 plus a night. Maybe 70 or 80
