We love the staff, their quick responses to anything you need, knowledge and familiarity with the area overall great hospitality. Been coming for decades because of location, awesome pool and relaxed atmosphere. Love the rooms. We love how pet friendly they are. This was the first year (over decades of coming to Riviera) that the landscaping looked pretty bad/unkempt. Things were really in need of maintenance around the pool and property. Also cleaning crew were a thumbs down this time.

The staff was awesome. The location was good. I wish I had somewhere to hang clothes. Rooms are small but cozy.

While it was raining and nearing dark when I arrived, the property seemed a lot more rundown than in the pictures and reviews. The room was serviceable and fine to crash for the night, but the room that I had was at the end of the building and right near the road and the walls were thin and windows not soundproof.

Location The carpeting is very dirty, just really needs deep rug shampooing/bathroom floor was the same/ just needs to be scrubbed. Bathtub also needs to be scrubbed No coffee pot

The bed deserves its own mention — truly the most comfortable one we’ve found in any hotel in years! We both slept so well, which never happens. You can tell the owners really care about keeping the place nice and welcoming. If you want a clean, quiet, and quirky little spot that feels like a local gem instead of a chain, this is the one. 🌊

I have been staying here for years. Never had a bad experience

They had every basic amenity that a regular hotel room has without the inflated room prices. (minus a coffee pot-which was not hard to do without) We didn't have a chance to use the pool due to timing but staff did say it was open and ready for use. The room was very clean and we had everything we needed. Very easy check in and check out. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Being handicapped, it was nice to be able to get back and forth to our vehicle only a few feet from our room. We had never stayed in this part of Erie before but people were respectful of each other. (We noticed guests sitting outside at various times throughout the day during their stay and the homeowner around the corner was practicing his golf swing.) Overall, very satisfied. We will definitely be staying there again the next time we're in Erie.

The location was excellent! We were able to walk to everything that we wanted to do. Great restaurant across the street. Pool was very nice and super clean. The room was very clean as well. It is bare bones, but we didn’t eat much. The only thing that we did not have was a coffee maker, which was disappointing and we had to drive to Sheetz for coffee. No coffee maker in the room

Convenient location to presque isle and waldameer Owners very nice Beds were comfy and super clean sheets No bugs of any sort Firepit avaliable for guest use Oasis restaurant across the street was so good It is an older, well loved motel. It definitely needs a deep clean, and everything wiped down(fridge, micro, and walls) needs upkeep around the property. Updates are needed, but if you're not a super picky,high-class hotel person,it's totally fine. The pool chaise lounges definitely need replaced but the pool was heated and nice enough. There is no coffee pot provided like the website says. They do have some recently renovated rooms, so if you're a little more picky, ask or choose one of the newer rooms.

The guys who checked me in were nice. But the room was disgusting. Its a motel. I didnt have high expectations. Carpet was fitlhy and stuff on it in three locations. Opened the nightstand and there was a flashlight, visine and an anti diareal. That is comforting. It could be ok with a scrubbing inside and out
