The Steelhead Inn is a clean no frills motel with fantastic location to restaurants and Presque Isle State Park. It is our 'go to' location for rwasonably

On entering, the room smelled like body odor/unclean carpet. This was lessened enough to just spend one night (we were pressed for time and would be leaving early the next AM anyhow) by turning the fan on on the air conditioner, but the smell did remain and there were some fruit flies in the bathroom. Additionally a long-term guest in Rm 7 or 8 made us uncomfortable by staring hard at us every time we walked by/were outside of our room.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! An absolute hell hole , have a “maintenance man” living in the parking lot . The fridge was broken and not fixed, the ac was broken and not fixed . The room claimed it accommodated 12 people but only accommodated 3 people . An the staff is a nightmare. Spent 400 for 2 nights and in the family room you’re only proved a microwave so we were grilling and they told us that it’s not allowed and made us cook elsewhere . Take your hard earned money elsewhere

Location Cold, small room, thin walls. Can hear all the neighbors.

There was no type of breakfast as stated including no coffee. Pillows were completely flat with hardly any stuffing. Asked for 3 more and kindly brought 3 decent ones. Room had carpet and not laminate flooring as stated. AC was not needed it was a cooler day. Shower was decent but only half dollar size soap discs .

Not far from the lake or food . Beds are comfortable showers hot. Great little hotel. Will stay there again No microwave.

It was located close the boat ramps. The staff were decent at correcting the shortcomings I had with my stay The place is pretty run down. Upon arrival the tv in my room didn’t work, the AC/heating unit was very loud, they only table lamp in the room flickered on and off when in use and there were ants in the bathroom. There was no toilet paper or drinking glasses in the room. The hotel is misrepresented on their website. The website offers breakfast and coffee daily. I was told that only happens during the summer months. It also claimed electrical an electrical hookup to charge boat batteries. This didn’t exist. The staff had to run an extension cord from the building to accommodate the need.

The room felt neglected. The bed was rigid and had significant sag to it. Couldn't get into any comfortable positions. The air handler was very loud and squealing. We had no water overnight in the first night of the stay in our room. I do understand that it was very cold outside, however our plumbing lines were run inside the bathroom walls . Ultimately, we did not stay the weekend as planned and left overnight during the first night.

Steelhead Inn is a hangout for riff raff. Super sketchy people everywhere. We had to leave in the middle of the night due to loud guests next to us. I felt really unsafe. Room was dirty. No toilet paper. Drug and alcohol abuse everywhere to be seen. Perminant residents here, living like the place is a drug house. An absolute horrible experience. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Was definitely a decent place to stay. You do get what you pay for though. Walls are pretty thin, so you might hear the people next to you. The bed wasnt uncomfortable but definitely worn out. The bathroom is very small but clean. We did have to go ask for toliet paper, as there was none left in the room. Overall, not a terrible place to spend a night, not sure if I would stay longer though.
