The Avalon hotel is a good hotel conveniently located in center city Erie. Mostly everything is walkable from the hotel, which is nice since there is free parking at the hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly. The room was spacious. With that being said, the hotel is outdated and needs a renovation. Everything is dark and can tell is old. The lobby and rooms are clean but definitely show wear.
