The shower door handle was missing the back of a screw so it fell, we notified the front desk on our first day and when we left 3 days later, wasn't fixed. We found a key ring in the sheets. And the filter in the A/C unit was filthy. We all were sneezing. There was a strain by the garbage can in the room was all down the wall. They were tossing chairs off the top patio area into the parking lot near cars (I could see this from my balcony). It felt like the management was overwhelmed and the property was understaffed. The staff that was there were very friendly and helpful.

Checked in late approx 3am - desk clerk was not friendly at all- she had a sign at desk stating she was helping another guest but was in back room. Have to carry luggage due to layout of hotel(split levels) hallway carpets dirty- room had linoleum flooring which had cuts/holes. Shower would not drain water standing in tub over ankle deep. Old hotel not clean but charge prices ($172 a night) of top of the line hotels. Do not recommend staying here.

Great location, super close to everything. Nice view from the outside common area.

Unfortunately I wouldn’t even rate this a 2 star. Positives - the person that checked us in was very positive and welcoming. The location is convenient and parking is easy/free. Negatives - room felt very old and dirty. I realize it’s not a 5 star so we expected dated but not dirty. The bathroom and shower had noticeable dirt, the walls in the main area had black marks all over, my daughter found a clump of hair in her bed and had to ask for new sheets. Upon check out, no thank you, no questions on how our stay was so we just left. Hopefully it was just bad luck but I definitely would not stay here again.

The staff tho was great about this and offered us a discount for breakfast for the misleading information upon booking. We also got our room upgraded no charge from a double queen to a jr suite, which was great with 4 small children. All in all we would stay here again!

This was an older property but pretty well maintained. It was a large room good beds and a good shower.
-
The bedrooms were clean. Coffee and fresh water were very good and continually available in the lobby which was really appreciated. A great base for touring Rocky Mountain National Park but not a luxury stay in and of itself.

Staff helpful. Clean comfy room.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The balcony had a wonderful view of the mountains and Estes Lake. Would highly recommend staying in this hotel.

Older facility, needs a little TLC and repair. But clean and quiet. The staff is incredibly helpful. The shuttle stops nearby, so really could do the town without having to worry about parking.the upstairs patio is a lovely place to sit in sun, drink coffee and watch the local elk herd stroll by. Would stay again.

For the price no breakfast was included

The hotel could use some updating. Staff was very friendly, beds were comfortable, and sitting area upstairs was nice. It had a nice game room and pool. Wish it had a hot tub.

Location was great for us too!

Run down

We arrived and our room had no towels, the hallway smells, rooms are so old they need major updating, the bathroom sink barely drained. Sadly this hotel is not a place to stay and the amount they charge is ridiculous. We honestly didn't feel very safe.

Nothing beats the view on the second-story veranda; I loved that they had a bar right by the comfy and spacious outdoor seating. Staff were friendly, room and lobby were clean. Beautiful fire pit area & really nice game room. Cool but confusing layout— the construction areas and dated (but very clean) pool area gave backrooms vibes, but honestly I kind of liked it.

One of the can lights was hanging out of the ceiling. Although told someone would fix it, no one did during our three night stay. In addition, there is no free breakfast as stated on the website. When I brought this up, staff offered a $10 voucher to their restaurant. We did not take it because we needed a quicker breakfast. Also, when I brought up the misrepresentation on the website, the employee blamed Expedia for getting hotel information from ChatGPT. I did see that other websites (local travel sites) also mentioned the hotel offered a free breakfast. Overall, our stay was comfortable, but I will be choosing a different hotel when we return to Estes Park.

When we arrived to the room, the first thing we found were tater tots under the air conditioner, not enough towels in a room clearly booked for four people, lights burned out in the bathroom, and several electrical outlets that didn’t work. And don’t let me get started on how thin the doors and walls are from one room to the next. Overall our stay ended up being ‘ok’. We just had breakfast each day down the street at McDonalds, dealt with the dim bathroom and useless plugs, and kept the room clean ourselves. The location is very good and the staff are friendly. But for the price we paid, I expected much better, oh and the complimentary breakfast I expected when I booked. I wouldn’t book here again.

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at the Expedition Lodge. The rooms were cozy with comfortable beds, and the view from the balcony was gorgeous. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the location was great. The property is showing some wear and could use some updating, but still a decent place and good value.

The room was a good size and I like the balcony(even though it was small) , Ty he elevator left a little to be desired thought . over all a decent stay
