The room was clean but the carpet was old and worn. Bed was comfortable and the bedding was pretty nice cotton. The restaurant had pretty nice food; very nice and thoughtful wait staff although they looked a bit rough. Loved the location. Went on the ghost investigation, which was fun.

The Bad--The liquid soap dispensor in our room didn't work, nor did the broken one in the shower. We have had lunch here before and was excited to try dinner. However, apparently when there are events happening you only get a partial menu, and there's not much variety. We got there around 8 and was seated promptly. They close the kitchen at 10pm so we had plenty of time. Even though the waitress was very nice she was getting off earlier than that and we felt like we were being rushed. Most of what was offered comes with chips and if you want fries, or anything other side, it's extra. Tried getting our monies worth and getting the "Special" which was a fish platter. Very dissapointed! 2 pieces of fish, fries, small container of cole slaw and 2 small hush puppies for $20! All in all, 4 bottles of regular beer, 1 appetizer and 2 meal was almost $100. We basically had bar food not a 5 star hotel meal.

Bad

The location and ambience was good. Restaurant in the hotel was excellent. Didn’t care for the room it was small for us and old, bathroom sink in room instead of bathroom.

Shuttle driver on the evening shift 8/26 was amazing. He also was the person that was sent up to fix our TV.. He was extreamly helpful and curtious.

It was neat staying at an old hotel. Knowing the history was helpful. Staff were great and hotel is in pretty good shape. However, there was some construction above our room at 7:30am. We were awake but most would not be.

The location was excellent.

Everything was fine for the most part, the cleaning staff took my phone charging cord because they thought I was checking out after one day, the mgr. took care of it and replaced it for me.

Very nice nostalgic hotel. AC was inadequate in the room. Staff was friendly.

parking is an issue

Stayed 1 night. Room was comfortable. Only issue was our room was on the 5th floor and around 8:30AM work on 6th floor was very noisy with hammering and other pounding. Glad we were not staying longer.

Staff was very friendly and it was worth it. The shuttle service was the best ro get around.

we loved everything about our stay. the highlight was doing yoga on the deck in a serene atmosphere and it was free. we loved being so close to everything, we could just go to the shops for an hour then come back to the room to rest. the restaurant was great. and the room was clean, it is an old hotel so the elevators are small and slow.

The staff were extremely helpful and nice. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable.

Very good

I loved that the hotel was right in the middle of all of the shops! I loved that it still Left like you were staying in a hotel Of around that time period. The workers were helpful and kind. The man that was running the shuttle was absolutely amazing. The only thing I could say that I did not like about the property was our room was very close to the trees so we heard the crickets and cicadas and the location of the parking. It was a little confusing at first having to either try to check in and then drive down and get the shuttle back or go to the designated parking and then called to have the shuttle pick us up.

We utilized the balcony and took our drinks out there from the bar. Very nice view of the park.

Loved the location and Hotel, very helpful and on top of their game, from simple information, to shuttle on point. The food had great taste. Will be back another time! I personally didn't like the bed itself (my opinion). The restaurant seemed to be under staffed or spread to thin, could had done better here but understand its a hard job and there was alot of people on the second night. The rabbit hole bar needs more options
