Holiday Inn Chicago North-Evanston by IHG

I booked this hotel room for my mom and her husband, and they absolutely loved it! The staff was very accommodating and kind. The food incredible. Location within Evanston fantastic. Highly recommend thank you for treating my mom and her husband so well.

Room is clean and friendly staff. Location is perfect for visit Northwestern University. Be aware of paid breakfast and parking.

The hotel is a bit out dated but priced well. The outdoor pool is closed and there is no longer a bar

I have stayed here 3 times now. Everything is great except the parking deck. It is very tight and if there is a thunderstorm it floods. When I say flood I mean water rushing down the stairs like a waterfall and flooding I’m sections of the deck. Just FYI if you are parking. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice property in an excellent part of Evanston. Delightful walk to the lake. Easy access to shopping, restaurants and a brewery.

The first room assigned, the sir condition didn't work rooms were switched, in that room the refridgerator didn't work. The parking is cumbersome and dangerous, I am an IHC member but kin of the perks were extended. The staff was accomodating. The elevators smelled of marijuana.

Great location, great staff, cozy room, great bed

I rated just okay for the staff bc the one gentleman who was there 6/26 until 3pm was so bad I almost switched my reservation, topped off with “my shift ended” but he was at the desk?! But the other staff was amazing so I also factored that in to a 3/5 or it would have been lower. Maybe he was just having a bad day or something.

The staff upon check in was friendly and attentive. The parking garage, while it does exist, is in a rough condition and does not have any walk ways other than the entrance to the hotel. My room was on one of the upper floors and it was clean. However, the window has a gap between the two window panes that makes the noise from the wind at night loud enough that you need ear plugs or headphones to block it out. There is also a restaurant listed as being in this hotel but it is no longer in operation. If you are staying in Evanston to be in Evanston, it does have a nice central location with everything being walkable from right out of the front door. With some renovations around the property it could be really nice. As for now its just a decent place to stay for the price.

Everyone at the hotel, especially the front desk, were was very helpful & friendly. The housekeepers said Good Morning’ in the hallways. My first time in Chicago & I would stay here again.

Friendly stuff and quiet place

Great place to stay while visiting Chicago. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is great and just a quick walk to the L and the town of Evanston is very walkable. Never felt nervous or unsafe, felt like a college town. We opted to include breakfast which was nice and they had very good bacon. This hotel was older and a bit dated but our room was clean. If we are in the Chicago area again, would definitely look at staying here again.

Excellent location for us. Staff was very nice and maid service excellent. Breakfast buffet ($10) was pedestrian but there are several great bakery/cafes within a couple blocks. Bed was slight saggy but comfortable. Good shower. Parking next door was pricey but for no discernible reason, we were charged half the normal rate .

Room was changed and got put in room that shared a wall with elevator shaft. Heard dings and noise continually from 5am. Lobby was good and breakfast was very good for $10. Parking good and priced well.
