AmericInn by Wyndham Fargo West Acres

The room was quiet, but the mattress could have been more comfortable. The most negative thing is the location of the pool, adjacent to the lobby. As soon as the door opens, the smell of chlorine and humidity is almost overwhelming. Surely, nothing can be done at this point, but some architect really screwed up with that design which is unfortunately common at AmericInns.

The room was clean but smelt like men's perfume gave me a head ache. Called the hotel from the hospital I was at and it took them a day to be able to transfer my calls. Also I got out of the hospital a day early and was still chagered a full day for checking out early at 1115 am. All in all the staff was very nice will I stay there the next time I don't know

Location was good Room was so humid EVERYTHING felt WET! If I had to guess... probably 100% relative humidity in the room. Even the sheets, the clothes in my duffel bag, towels didn't dry... and i had the ac on to help pull humidity out of the air. Prices across fargo were jacked up for the street fair weekend making it harder for these events to continue. Most people attending the event to shop are local. The jacked up hotel costs mostly affect the vendors who are usually very small businesses. The facility was OLD for what we paid.

I always stay here whenever I am in town if the price is ok. This trip, they upgraded me to a very nice suite with a hottub and fireplace. However, it's been like this with high level of customer service that the staff in this location has always given us. Again, I love this place and will always stay here. Thank you AmericInn!

I immediately stripped the bed (as I do in every hotel I stay in) to find numerous stains on the pillow cases, comforter, sheet, mattress cover, and mattress directly. The large stain on the mattress cover was the exact location, size, shape, and colour as the one on the mattress confirming that this bedding, or at least the bottom sheet, had not been changed. We immediately returned to the front desk and I will give kudos to the front desk staff as they moved us immediately into a new room which was noticeably cleaner. The hot tub was wildly over-chlorinated and burned your skin and even eyes just sitting near it, but the general pool/hot tub area appears somewhat maintained albeit rundown. The ice machine broke shortly after our arrival and was not repaired nor was there another option. Door handles were broken, no fan in the bathroom and quite literally zero water pressure in the shower; good luck getting any shampoo out of your hair nonetheless soap off your body. I would not book this hotel again but I know there are worse out there. I think a 3-star is highly generous and could use a real makeover. Unfortunately, the price was high due to a concert in the area but it certainly wasn't an appropriate price to the accommodations you get in return. I also wouldn't recommend walking around outside at night.. Good luck!
