Wingate by Wyndham Fletcher at Asheville Airport

Air conditioning unit was very loud and distracting. The staff were excellent and accommodating.

Clean room and friendly staff

Room smelled musty and damp like old wet towels or an old poorly maintained public pool changing room. Otherwise, the room was fine- clean and fairly up to date. Hot water, working streaming TV, standard decent breakfast. We called from the airport to get the shuttle and it came in 5 minutes. But walking into a room and getting hit in the face with that strong mildew smell - Ooph. We wore bandannas over our noses as we slept.

Be aware that the property may place an unauthorized charge on your card. Lock your card after you pay your deposit to avoid any trouble. I am going on week 2 and still have not been refunded for the unauthorized charge that I received from the property.

Room was clean, but the sink was not working properly - drain not working so sink could not drain water (had to fix ourselves). Pool was nice, but the floor was very slick. There were texture strips down to try to combat this, but it was still very slick and my kids fell a few times just walking. Maybe consider new flooring that isn’t so slick when wet. Breakfast was a good array of options, and well made. Parking was a bit precarious, as it is immediately adjacent to the airport parking, and it seems there was some spill over from people who were not actually staying at the hotel. Overall the stay was good.

Clean room and good AC. Nice free breakfast. Good location. Parking was insufficient as we had to park in adjacent surgical center lot. Would definitely stay again!

I am a returning guest I love it.

Overall this was a nice place. The beds were a bit small and there was a smell, not sure what it was. The breakfast was simple but good. Had a pool, didn't get in it, but looked fine. We stayed here as a half way back to our destination which was good for the time were there. The staff was great and very kind. For the price we paid not bad at all.

The worst

If you need Internet for anything, this hotel does not have it. They offer free Wi-Fi, but it is not efficient at all and the building is located in a no cellular service area.

I will return !

My stay was great. Staff was awesome, pleasant and polite. My only suggestion would be a little more variety in breakfast items. Different muffins, donuts, pancakes, greek yogurt. The breakfast was good and plenty of it just a little boring.

Great location if you have an early flight out of Asheville. Shuttle driver showed up 15 minutes late.👎👎
