Staff was friendly, breakfast was the typical breakfast you get for free at any hotel. Parking was also convenient. My only drawback is that the hotel is VERY VERY outdated and rooms have a particular smell to them. For instance, the tv in the room is cable only no Netflix or streaming service. Lastly the room appearance was very vintage and not in a good way. I’ll rate it 3 stars.

Spacious room and good location near the freeway and some restaurants. It's definitely seen better days and is getting quite tatty. Could really do with being stripped down and refitted / repainted throughout.

The hotel was a Good location. With the pre-check in it was a fast check in. In the room there was a comfortable bed. The breakfast was very meager. The was a lot of light coming into the room in the morning. The room was very cold.

One of the chairs should have been replaced a while ago. Room was very (uncomfortably) cold when we arrived ... took a while to bring the room back to a normal temperature

Couches were great. We were just sad about the tv because I’m blind HAHAHA and I’m squinting but first world problems so. Not a big deal lol

Had to request washcloths and shower gel missing from the bathroom. Mattress in 118 has a major dip on left side.

Location Steamtown usa is not 8 miles away....its more like 50 miles away in Scranton.

The room was very clean - the only item I'd like to point out is the chair that was placed in front of the mirror has frays on the seat cushion.

Second day quantity of food was better. Coffee is only fair-prefer regularly perked Coffee. Other food selections were good. Room was clean. Shower was not very good, low pressure. Hard to figure how to control hot water in shower. Could use a toilet brush for guest use since no cleaning the second day. Furniture especially sofa and lounge chair were old.

Eggs and sausages was just what I needed. Fresh fruit bowl was empty. I saw people with bananas, perhaps it just hadn’t been replenished.

Hawthorn Suites in Fogelsville was a great place to stay. As a solo traveler I was very pleased.
