Fairfield Inn Forsyth Decatur

Currently under construction to update the property. No pool. Room was clean and updated. We were on the side closest to the main road and there was so much noise from the crowd of motorcycles and cars who gathered across the road that night to race on the street, so ask for a room not on that side of the building. Breakfast was great and your normal hotel offerings plus more to go options including muffins and pop tarts. Good stay overall.

Location. The pool was broken, the clerk when we checked in was unprofessional.

The receptionist was unprofessional, didn’t know her job. I also saw her take a picture of my ID, and charged me for a room that was already paid for.

Hotel in rough shape, couldnt tell if they are remodeling or its just run down. No fitness center, room was dirty, black out blind was broke and ai couldn't open it. Then hotel charged me twice. Paid through Hotels.com amd then they charged me full price.

Wonderful place to stay!

Disappointing

The good: they had the best breakfast I've had from a hotel in a long time. It was the usual foods like the waffle maker, scrambled eggs, bacon, etc., but they had the little extras one seldom sees like skim milk, cooked oatmeal, and toppings for the oatmeal.

Location is convenient and the staff are friendly and helpful. Carpets are still good. Breakfast was good - many choices, and all were fresh, tasty and nutricious. Room was mostly quiet and dark. Parking was adequate and well-lit. Facility is TIRED and in need of upgrades. Bathtub enamel is chipped, toilet doesn't flush well and ongoing construction is unsightly. Bathroom floor felt gritty and mattresses sag. East end access door appears to have been breached by vandals, and has not been repaired. Window shade in room 120 will not open.

Pool and fitness were closed. Hallways are dark and dingy. Bed was clean and comfortable.

Breakfast was great. Parking was great. Staff was good. Room had been remodeled and was nice. Bathroom needed more service as there was garbage in the can. Remolding dust is not good at all. oops my dislikes are with my likes.

The room was clean, the Staff was great and there was plenty of parking. There was not very much counter space in the bathroom to put things. The closet space was not deep enough and the hanging clothes did not fit in there very well.

Staff was GREAT! They were very helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond. Facility was in the midst of a remodel, so we expected sum disruption to service (pool not being opened) But the room looked like it had NOT been swept! Not expected! Only had a half roll of toilet paper! (asked staff for another roll) Commode handle stuck causing water to run. Had to move it to shut off water. (reported it next morning). Not a big deal, but the trash cans didn't have liners leaving one to wonder how clean they were. Wiring for TV look bad.

Hotel was dirty. TV didnt work. Left a day early beacuse of this.

Newer look on the inside just very dusty from ongoing remodeling. Nice breakfast selection though. Well when I checked in the hotel had no WiFi/ internet . I called front desk and they said they are working on it and didn’t have a time when it would be back up and running. If I would have known that I would have not booked at this location. Hard to entertain kids with listed amenities that were not available. Deadbolt on door keep getting stuck.

Room excellent ! Unfair to rate at this because of a major renovation. Once complete this facility will be excellent. Staff very accommodating under renovation activities. Even carried our luggage around renovation projects to our room.
