The hotel seemed old and well used. Possibly needing a renovation. I also saw a mouse run from the laundry room over to disappear under the ice machine. I went to inform someone but there was no one at the front desk and after ringing the bell on the counter no one came. The breakfast was okay, though after the mouse incident I was wary about eating food in there.

The overall condition of the property was one of our biggest concerns. As the building has aged, the poor build quality is becoming increasingly noticeable. There were several areas where the wear and deterioration showed, leaving the property feeling tired and in need of more than just cosmetic fixes. We were also disappointed to find that the former hot tub area had simply been covered with a wooden platform. It felt more like a temporary fix than an actual renovation. If you need to use the guest dryer, be prepared to thoroughly clean out the lint before spending your money. The buildup was significant, and guests should not have to perform that level of maintenance just to use a paid hotel amenity. Breakfast was probably the biggest disappointment. Undercooked tater tots are an odd choice for breakfast to begin with, but seeing flies trapped in the country gravy was far more concerning and immediately made us question the cleanliness and food handling of the breakfast area. Any one of these issues might have been easy to overlook, but together they made for a disappointing stay. We have had much better experiences at other Choice Hotels. This property could benefit from meaningful attention to maintenance, cleanliness, food quality, and the overall guest experience.
