B Ocean Resort Fort Lauderdale Beach

The B Resort is a great hotel. Right on the beach, multiple pools, great rooms, and just nice! However, they need a bit of a tune up. I made it to one of the pools that has the restaurant and bar with it. I had a great margarita and cuban chicken sandwich! The private beach area was my favorite part of the entire hotel. I had one of the best piña coladas in a coconut on the beach. I think they undersell how amazing the hotel is. Just needs a few touchups and updates but I am DEFINITELY going to come back! The rooms that are not beach side aren't updated. No one answers the phone (but just go to the front desk directly and they handle everything QUICK!) I didn't have a garbage pail and the layout of the resort was confusing and was not explained to me. Just a map, directions to the elevator, and a dream. No one tells you how big the hotel, well resort, really is.

The location was perfect. Walking distance from the beach and food spots. Our room has an order and I requested for room spray but never received it. It smelled like mildew.

The community. ⭐️ 1 Star — Very Disappointing Stay Unfortunately, my stay at B Ocean Resort was extremely disappointing, especially considering how expensive the hotel is. As soon as we arrived and checked into our room, we noticed several issues. The room was not properly cleaned, the showers were dirty, and some of the lamps were broken. We ended up having to change rooms shortly after checking in. I will say that the front desk staff was nice enough to assist us with switching rooms, but the overall service was still very disappointing. The cleaning staff needs significant improvement. The rooms should be thoroughly cleaned and inspected before guests arrive, especially at a hotel charging these prices. Whenever we needed something, such as fresh towels or assistance with an issue, the service was extremely slow. Some of the staff were also rude and did not make us feel welcomed. For the price we paid, I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service. Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet those expectations. I would strongly recommend that management take a serious look at the housekeeping and customer service staff and improve their training and standards. I would not stay at B Ocean Resort again.

The location was great , I liked being directly on the beach. The check in process was not the greatest. We were downstairs at least 3 times to get a working card to access the room , The phone in our room wasn’t working so we had to go down to the front desk every time . We were in town for a wedding being held on the property so there at least 25 -30 rooms booked . The staff at the umbrella rental was not happy about having to set up umbrellas for so many people and was actually discussing his complaints very loudly where other guest commented on it .

The staff was amazing, especially the front desk. I normally stay at this hotel when I visit Fort Lauderdale. I love the location. There was nothing that I didn’t like.

Convenient location. Nice pools and private beach. Checking in was a little difficult. The elevator was out of order. They were paining right outside my room. Everything feels very dated. It's just not as glamorous as I remembered.

Outstanding location! Top-notch! Bathrooms could use some towel bars or hooks to hang towels on.

There were several things that could have made our experience much better. The phone in our room was not working, which was inconvenient. There was also a QR code on the nightstand, but we did not scan it because it appeared as though it had simply been left there by someone. We were never informed that guests were expected to scan it. It wasn’t until our last night, when one of us scanned it out of curiosity, that we discovered what it was for. Better communication with guests about these services would have been helpful. Housekeeping was another concern. Staff entered our room while we were out, made the bed, but did not change the sheets. I ultimately had to remove the sheets myself. We also felt the breakfast buffet could use some improvement. The continental-style selection did not seem worth the price, particularly with the prepared/boxed eggs. Changing up the menu and offering a more appealing selection might help attract more guests to the breakfast service. The additional $45-per-day resort fee, plus sales tax and county tax is too high, it adds up. I must say, our view on the 9th floor was spectacular. Overall we made excellent use of our time there.

It was nice that you could use the pool and beach access while waiting for your room to be ready.

We should have gotten money off if they knew this in advance. Don’t take our money then tell us the info. But staff was very friendly and helpful
