Candlewood Suites Ft. Lauderdale Airport/Cruise by IHG

Booked for the hotel to terminal but the hotel was unaware of that reservation

Friendly staff. Loved the free washer and dryer room.

This was our second time staying at this hotel prior to our cruise and we’ll be there next year

This was a pretty decent hotel for the money. The elevator kept breaking and the coffee machine wasn’t working. They also advertised breakfast, but told us that they did not provide it once we checked in. I will say that they didn’t allow us to check in early after getting off of our cruise ship, the staff was amazing and tried very hard to accommodate us. I would stay again.

However, the situation took a much more serious turn when my vehicle was parked directly in front of the hotel lobby and the catalytic converter was stolen. What was most frustrating was the staff's response. Rather than showing concern or taking the matter seriously, they appeared nonchalant and indifferent and quickly assumed that rental insurance would cover the damage. When I requested that security footage be reviewed, the manager was unwilling to come out and personally address the situation. The lack of urgency, empathy, and accountability was extremely disappointing. As a guest, I expected the hotel to at least make an effort to assist after such a significant incident occurred on their property. Due to the way the situation was handled, we no longer felt safe staying at the hotel and decided to leave immediately. While the room issue was resolved quickly, the poor customer service and lack of concern regarding the theft completely overshadowed any positive aspects of our stay. I would not recommend this property based on my experience.

Nice

Candlewood Suites was the perfect place to stay for what me and my family needed. From the Airport shuttle pickup to the hotel to port drop off that was an extra added bonus. We had a small kitchenette with a refrigerator, dishwasher, dishes, coffee maker, kettle, long table/desk. We had the whole SHABANG! 😂 We loved it. We will definitely be coming back here when we come back to Fort Lauderdale for our big family cruise next year. The only thing I would say that was a little disappointing, was that the Shuttle to port was $40 for me and my son. But we ended up catching an Uber for $10. But hey I understand it’s a business, all that matters was we had a good stay and made it to our cruise the next day. So I definitely would recommend staying here.

Gym area was a bit small but we appreciated a place to exercise when we needed it.

Very nice simple suite room

The only thing missing was free breakfast of some sort. The snacks vending is 3rd party owned and the prices are ridiculously high. Otherwise, the hotel was excellent.

This hotel is nice, clean comfortable. The staff are absolutely fantastic. Great place to stay.

The room was very nice, space and the set up was nice. The table didnt seem it was clean properly, room smelled like humidity, on my departure Morning there was a little bug in the sink, not sure what it was, other than that it was an okay stay.

Staff was nice

The staff was friendly and helpful, especially Arlene. Will definitely recommend and go back.👍👍
