Ocean Sky Hotel and Resort

It was a great relaxing and clean environment. I have already booked this hotel for future stays. Highly recommend!

Now, it's an older property so if you're looking for the Omni or the Hyatt, then book with the Omni or the Hyatt because this won't be your place.

Loved the beach access! Staff moved us because our original room was near a very loud venting system for the HVAC system. We appreciated that greatly.

The property was not as well kept this time around. Hotel looks quite dated. Coffee supplies were not provided. This issue was the same as last time. We have to pay extra for chairs on the beach. They should be included as this states to be a resort. I do want to mention the location is what brings us back to this hotel. Close to stores and restaurants. Feels safe to walk around.

Clean room -friendly stuff

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. We were assigned a room directly above the kitchen, so every time we opened the balcony door we were met with a strong smell of food. The balcony was also covered in bird droppings, making it unpleasant to use, and the balcony door did not lock, which was a serious safety concern. The room itself had several maintenance issues. The bathroom sink drained very slowly, and the shower conditioner dispenser was empty. The biggest disappointment was the housekeeping. During our stay, the room was not cleaned properly. Only one bed was made, the bed sheets were not changed, the floors were not vacuumed or mopped, and when we returned, the bed sheets felt gritty, almost as if they had sand in them. Walking barefoot on the floor also made it obvious that it hadn’t been cleaned. Overall, the hotel fell well below expectations in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. These are basic standards guests should be able to rely on, and unfortunately, our experience did not reflect that.

The pool area was a huge disappointment. It was extremely overcrowded, appeared dirty, and was far from the relaxing experience advertised. The towel system is unacceptable. You’re given a card to exchange for beach towels, but I waited in line three different times and was never able to get any because they had run out. A resort should never leave guests without towels. The food service was equally frustrating. We waited over an hour for a simple order of chicken wings, which is completely unreasonable. Overall, this hotel has potential because the rooms are nice, but the poor management of basic amenities, overcrowded facilities, and slow service made for a very disappointing stay. I would not choose this property again.

The beach view from the suite is beautiful the room was clean the staff very nice.

Staff very friendly

Hotel was overlooking the beach which was great. The pool appeared cloudy with debris floating about so unsure what the cleaning regime is.

The room was just okay—very small and outdated. Worse, there was no soap. I called the front desk multiple times, and while they kept promising to send someone up, it took forever. When someone finally arrived, they only brought shampoo—no body wash or soap at all. To make matters worse, right when I was trying to take a bath, the fire alarm went off and rang for 40 minutes. A truly horrible experience. I will never stay here again.

The location was nice and right on the beach. The hotel was rundown and dirty. Our air conditioner didn't work well and our sink would not drain. Items were updated enough to give the appearance of "new" but it was like lipstick on a pig. Hotel needs major Reno. Too expensive for such a run down hotel. We were very upset we wasted our stay.

Loved the room. Shower plumbing was leaking at all connections. Housekeeping came daily and were pleasant. The beach was easy to access. The valet did make me get my own car, which I thought was odd since I literally paid for Valet… but overall 4/5 stars. I’d come back!

OK property, small pool, beach access but beach wasn’t clean. Had to call maintenance a few times for plumbing and the walls are very thin so everything can be heard in the small rooms. Also the patios are open to neighbors so there’s no privacy.

The ocean view was looking to the side of the buiding next door, across from the balcony, Below our balcony was the HVAC system for the hotel which looked like a construction site and ruined the experience with all the noice emanating from the machinery. Two doors down sitting on the balcony was a guy puffing away on marijuana which inundated the whole balcony with its pall. The room and bed were pretty comfortable, the front desk people were friendly.

Patio door did not lock. Bathroom was very congested. Not enough counter space. Did not like not have shower door/curtain - chilly and rug got very wet and wouldn’t dry thru day

I surely enjoyed my stay.The hotel was very nice clean.The staff was great check-in was easy.The pool was clean, I would highly recommend it
