Nothing The room was filthy and disgusting; the few chairs they had were so dirty, roaches and hopefully no bed bugs. I couldn’t wait to get out of there.

The only thing nice about this place was that the staff were friendly. There were roaches in the room, "kitchenette" was ripped apart, shower was gross, we would've rather slept in our car than this place. I didn't feel comfortable taking my shoes off or sleeping in bed. The description said we'd have a terrace and ocean view. There is NOT, that is, false advertising. & we were charged $230 to stay here, when it should've been like $20, IF that. & there are no cancelations or refunds.

Wir wurden nett Empfangen und das Zimmer war relativ sauber. Leider sehr veraltet und ein paar „Käfer“ krabbelten auf dem Boden rum .

Place was price gouging for Spring Break and we were stuck because of a cancelled flight. The rooms inside clearly state $15 max charge per night. we paid $850 for 2 rooms for 1 night. When asked they said we can charge whatever we want. Also only take cash or cash app. Scamming the government for taxes as there is no Credit Card trail. Asked for refund and the closed the door on us. My amily and 18 month old grandson were embarrassed to be scammed as it was 10PM and stuck so we had no choice.

On ceilling there was some wooden board to prevent ceiling not falling on us while sleeping. I couldnt sleep all night because i was so afraid that ceiling will fall on me and my child. Also that was some kind of bordel because we were listening to some screams at night... And when you step out of room there were a lot of people smoking and it smelled really bad... The toilet was not attached and when I wanted to sit I thought it will be fallen down. Such an old room with furniture we had only in Mozambique in Africa, but there was room for a 10 usd a night and it was clean room. Here we payed for one night 290 usd!!! I really cant understand how this motel has 7.1 in reviews. This is really disaster. Avoid this motel!

I normally stay at higher-end more expensive hotels but I opted for value and location when I chose Sky Islands and I'm so glad I did! The location was perfect and there were many restaurants and shopping choices within walking distance. There is public beach access that is super close. The owners, Bobby and Lois, made me feel SO welcome and comfortable and SAFE! I'm a solo traveler so I'm usually on high alert and I felt very safe in this neighborhood. The bed was awesome and I loved having a fridge and microwave. Also - free parking in front of the motel! All in all, a great experience and I would return!

The location was nice and the couple that run it are great. Very friendly and accommodating. The place could use some updating and a good cleaning. Not sure the sheets/blankets had been changed. The toilet in my bathroom rocked when seated and leaked. They only accept debit not credit so that was a bit weird.
