Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach

The beach view was everything! The room itself wasn’t the cleanest . The fact that the hotel was right across from the beach was perfect! The staff on the other hand had us in a room with no access to the TV. Called for hours and were told a lot of BS! After traveling from GA for vacation we were finally switched to another room around midnight. The second room we were in was a bigger upgrade but dirtier than the first room we were in. All in all the restaurant served amazing food, valet parking is $63 per pull out, beach chairs are included but the umbrellas aren’t, the pool was nice, outside bar was convenient, and all in all everything was on the strip, restaurants , liquor stores, bars, ETC

The Front Desk service was wonderful. I don’t remember the name of the lady who assisted us, but she had short brown hair and glasses. She was extremely kind and helpful, explained our credits and services, and helped us change our ocean-view king room to a more comfortable room with two beds. She is an excellent staff member. I also want to recognize two restaurant staff members who were especially caring toward my mother, who was experiencing high blood pressure. The young brunette breakfast server even remembered the next morning what my mother had eaten and brought her tea and fruit. That thoughtful gesture meant so much to us. The gray-haired gentleman serving lunch was equally kind and made sure my mother’s meat was prepared exactly as she needed it. Things could be improved: the pool is very small for an 11-story hotel during summer season. Please think to add another pool space to the property, and some bathtub tiles needed a deeper scrub. The pool/bar also seemed understaffed; I requested a mimosa and drinks menu and after about 10 minutes it never arrived. Despite these details, we had a very good experience. The kindness and genuine care shown by the valet, Front Desk staff, and restaurant staff made us feel truly welcome. We would definitely consider staying at Sonesta again. Thank you!

Nice place!

Loved the team that was working their; overly accommodating.

It was a nice building and it was right in front of the beach. We had issues with our air conditioning and the room smelling like weed. We notified them and they did not act like they were concerned that we had to stay in those conditions when we checked out they told us next time they would let security handle it. I probably won’t stay there again there are cheaper places with same amenities. The cleaning people were very nice.

Steps from the beach, restaurants and not far from anything. Definitely will stay again. My wife and I think we found our decompression and relaxation place from the everyday grind. Thanks for a great experience.

The location was great. The staff was friendly. The room was tiny and everything looked old stained bedding. Lamp shade had stains. I was surprised that the room didn’t even have microwaves

Overcharge

This was an excellent and exceptional stay!! I planned my wedding reception there as well as my vacation stay. My wedding was planned to be on the beach but weather changed my plans. The hotel Events Team saved my special day!! The adjusted and set up for me to have my wedding inside. Everything was seamless. They made me and my family of 17 feel like royalty!! That’s who this hotel is!! Excellent Service!! Exceptional and Caring Professionals!! I’ll stay here over and over again!!

Great location, clean room and the staff offered quality customer service.

It was very nice and comfortable my view was amazing.

From the pictures on the site, it looked as though the pool was between hotel and beach and it was not. It was on side away from beach and it was very small - not like site images. We had extremely noisy neighbors for two nights between 11pm-4am. We finally complained the second night - it helped little. I cannot recommend this hotel, nor will we return.
