The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale

We had the most wonderful stay at the Ritz Carlton Ft. Lauderdale Beach. The room was bright and airy, clean and comfortable. The view was breathtakingly beautiful. We had a patio overlooking the ocean and pool, we sat out there for hours soaking it all in. The staff was tremendous, friendly and helpful. Coundn't have asked for a better staycation.

The rooms need updating and they seriously need fabric softener. Food needs help too. Ordered a hamburger for dinner and it was tea nasty. Hair in the salad. The ac in the room was broken. Overall I would not stay at this hotel again in the future.

The room, the view, the property all top notch but what makes this place special is the staff. Amazing people from the cleaning staff to the front office, the restaurant staff, the bartenders, the pool attendants. Hotel is close to shops, restaurants, intercoastal, beach right across the street. Plenty of transportation options including water taxis. Excellent place to unwind. We are foodies and the Michelin reviewed restaurants within walking distance were amazing. I had never been to Fort Lauderdale. We have already planned another trip there in the fall.

Lovely spot but not the full high end experience that may be expected at the Ritz. For example, our room was not tended to daily. Two associates knocked on our door the morning of the date of departure wondering when we were leaving. And the cushions on the beach chairs were soiled. These are small matters, but cultivate to an overall positive, but not entirely luxury experience. I will add that the associates working the front desk, the restaurants, and the valet were lovely.

We had an amazing experience! It was my first Father’s Day and they made me feel so special. They sent chocolate covered strawberries and champagne and gave us an amazing room for having to wait awhile upon check-in. We have a 2 month old son and needed a crib, fridge for breast milk and microwave and they gave us a suite to ensure our baby and my wife had everything she needed. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay at the Ritz-Carlton again.

Clean room in a good location. My husband was not comfortable on the bed but it was okay for me.

Had the fire alarm go off at 4.30 which did make us tired for the next day which was a shame, we had to leave and come back in as the fire was on the beach and the smoke was drifting into the hotel setting the smoke alarms off. Will be back this year if we get chance. The one downside to the hotel is the food at the pool and restaurant that s not that good, we just don’t eat at the hotel and walk to other restaurants to eat.

Staff were great

Staying at the Ritz Carlton there is an expectation of a clean and well kept hotel. The difference is service people are outstanding. From the check in, room service, restaurant and concierge staff, make the stay worth the added cost over competing hotels.
