Tru by Hilton Fort Lauderdale Downtown

Had roaches in my room and none of the staff seemed to care or show any concern. A lot of noise from the street and trains passing, was not an enjoyable stay. Surrounding area was seedy and not great.

Overall, a very good stay. Breakfast was basic but adequate. The breakfast at the Tru in St Petersburg spoiled me with their breakfast. (their breakfast potatos were amazing) Coffee was excellent. Parking is expensive but was safe and secure.

Great hotel, front desk staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. The only problem were the pillows, they were very uncomfortable and the pillow cases did not fit properly . We go to Ft Lauderdale once or twice a year on our way to Texas visiting family. We usually stay at the other Tru, but will now be staying at this one. Thank you everyone for making our 3 day trip wonderful.

My stay a Tru by Hilton was incredibly frustrating and fell far below expectations. I specifically pre-booked and paid for a King Bed room, but upon arrival I was given a room with two queen beds instead. The explanation provided was that the hotel was booked. While I understand operational challenges can occur, I did not receive the room type I reserved and paid for, which is unacceptable. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning of the issues of my birthday weekend. During my stay, I spent more than a day of my trip trying to locate two Amazon packages that had been delivered to the hotel under my wife's name. Despite repeatedly seeking assistance, I received no proactive communication, no follow-up call, no email from management regarding the missing packages.After considerable effort on my wife's part,. the hotel's security cameras were reviewed. The footage confirmed that the packages had indeed been delivered by Amazon on 22nd September, with a verified photo sent to my wife, as the camera shows. Even more concerning, the review showed that the packages were subsequently handed over by a front desk employee to a UPS driver and sent back without our knowledge or authorization. The lack of communication, accountability, and urgency surrounding this situation was extremely disappointing.I was offered a refund of my hotel parking charges, which was a slap in the face for all this issues. I expected far better.

It was an okay stay, recommend if you’re going one or two nights. It isn’t clearly disclosed that they’re right next to another hotel, parking lot has extremely tight turns so if you’re driving anything bigger than a midsize SUV I wouldn’t recommend. My room AC was set to 69 and it never dropped past 73.

I was disappointed that I didn't get the room that I booked instead I got two bubble beads when I reservation a king parking lot is extremely tight to get in and out but overall it's good

Room was clean breakfast excellent and very helpful staff

Proximity to the strip – not too close not too far Our bath tub had been freshly painted and treated and the fumes were almost unbearable…we went to a show and closed off the bathroom with the fan and it made it a little more bearable. We tried to move rooms but they were sold out, which is frustrating as I had booked this room a month in advance.

I love staying at the tru the customer service and staff are always 10/10 . Only negative the room wasn’t as clean as we expected

Good breakfast. New infrastructure. Very clean and quiet Front desk staff can show more interest in customers. They seemed bit curt.
