Sleep Inn Fort Mill near Carowinds Blvd

Great stay, really close to Carowinds. Ice machine in odd location. Great value. Recommend.

The breakfast was very good and well stocked. The waffles were perfect!

The rooms smelled of mildew and mold. We kept the air conditioning on, but the smell never left.

Very clean room, clean property, and the staff were very nice. The breakfast buffet selection was not good at all. No eggs, no bacon or sausage, and the bananas were rotten. The convenient location to Carowinds was great.

Didn't eat breakfast, but cleaner than most hotels for the same price. Cable TV channels sucked compared to other hotels. And didn't have channel info when changing channels. Comedy central. MTV. HBO. Etc

Absolutely nothing. Everything. Truly, the nastiest and most unsettling hotel experience I have ever had.nInstead of being greeted by a clerk when we walked in, we were greeted by a barefoot man with socks hanging off his feet. He told us, “He’s around here somewhere. He’s slow.” We were completely understanding and told him that was fine, so we waited. And waited. And waited. While we waited nearly 30 minutes for someone to come to the front desk, we took a look around the lobby. The condition of the hotel was immediately concerning. The arms of the lobby chairs were stained a dirty grey/black, and the entire place felt poorly maintained. Eventually, the clerk came out and checked us in. We went upstairs to our room, only to be hit in the face with an overwhelming smell of weed, mildew, and stale, funky air. The room clearly had not been properly maintained, and the air conditioning either wasn’t working or wasn’t cooling the room whatsoever. We immediately checked the mattresses and noticed that they had bed bug encasements on them. To be clear, we did not physically see any bed bugs, but given the overall condition of the room, that was certainly not reassuring. After looking around for a few minutes, my brother, who has asthma, began having difficulty breathing. At that point, we knew there was absolutely no way we could stay there. We went back downstairs and explained that we had been in the room for less than 20 minutes and simply did not feel comfortable staying. They did offer us another room, which we appreciated, but unfortunately, the second room did not solve the problem. The hotel as a whole was extremely poorly maintained, smelled awful, and felt incredibly sketchy. And then there was the scene across the street at the QuikTrip. There were multiple cars being raided, drugs being removed from vehicles, K9 units searching the area, and cars being towed away afterward. On top of that, there were roaches outside of the QuikTrip.

Okay stay this time. The cleanliness was ok, the elevator had the same trash in it for the duration of the stay. The Continental Breakfast was not good, needs more items to choose from. My room wasn't cleaned when requested. The Staff was very friendly.

Convenient to Carowinds Air conditioner was broke in our room so it was hot. No door on bathroom. Pillows need to be replaced.
