No Help at the front desk

This was an overall awful experience.

It’s a cute and trendy hotel and quiet but There is no front desk. The community center where the coffee station is was not stocked. The front door that is supposed to stay locked was broken. The lobby was hot. I wanted to check in early but there was no one to communicate with. I kept calling before I arrived and no one answered the phone. There was no staff visible. One of my face towels was stained.

The room had no washcloths, hand towels, or body soap. The shower was a nightmare. The showerhead was so powerful that it hurt when it touched my skin. There was a balcony, but there was no furniture on it. I won’t be staying there again.

Would not stay here again. You are welcomed by a QR code that you scan to check into your room. You are sent a code to unlock your door. One staff member was on hand limited hours to help. I paid for late checkout but they remotely locked my room prior to my extended check out time. Pictures of the hotel are not accurate. Restaurant is not functioning. No staff at night so when the drunk woman banged on doors for a half hour at 4:30 am there was no one to answer my call and deal with the situation. Another guest called 911. Entry lobby is on the rear of the building and has an awful odor. Hallways are dimly lit. Did not feel safe.

This is false advertising from the hotel. There is no restaurant, no bar, you have to pay to park. No staff! No help! This is not a place to pick.

The room was big and clean. However, the air condition would go off (it was on a timer) and when I changed it on the thermostat, it would default back. The lights are on motion detection, so if I would sit up or move abruptly they would go on in the middle of night. When I came in one evening around 7, the elevator was down and the doors were lock so I could not get up to my room. It took about an hour before elevator was working again (I think they reset the breaker.)

There was no coffee maker, no microwave, only a bed, couple of chairs and a small fridge. AC wasn’t working very good and they refused a refund when we had to leave early due to a death in our family. Wasn’t a pleasant experience for us.

Canceled my reservation at 3:30 pm by way of a message. We were driving in unaware of the cancellation. Showed up and tried to retrieve our mobile key to find out there was nowhere to stay. Simple phone call could have made all the difference.

If you are technology challenged or if you are prone to having your phone die, do not stay here! There is no front desk. There is no lobby. There is a girl with an iPad when you walk in. This is just a concrete building/apartment building. Your key to the building and to your room is all electronic through an app. The amenities are very minimalist. It’s like staying in a dorm room. If the process to download the key does not work there is no backup solution.

The hotel is in an adorable walkable neighborhood, but it's lacking in normal hotel comforts. We weren't provided with a hand towel, only one wash rag and three bath towels. There were no tissues, only toilet paper. The toilet had no lid, only a seat. There was no ice available, no bucket or ice maker. There was a fridge in the room and a large communal kitchenette type area on our floor with a large fridge, but no ice. The window coverings are not black out shades, so if that's something you need to sleep past sun up, you're out of luck. Also the thermostat has a very bright light on it that lights up the entire room. I had to get creative in the middle of the night to figure out how to block that. Super fun at 3 am. Oh and no floor length mirror. Was worth a try, but won't stay there again.

Our stay at Hotel Revel in Fort Worth has been incredibly disappointing, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel. Here are the issues we experienced: • Misleading parking information: About 24 hours before check-in, we received check-in instructions stating that we needed to pay for parking. We paid for parking, only to find out after entering the hotel that parking is actually free. That should have been communicated correctly in the first place. • Major privacy issue with the room: Our room has floor-to-ceiling windows and a large balcony that is accessible to other guests. The automatic blinds do not cover the entire window, meaning people outside can see directly into the room — including the bed. We actually had to go to CVS, purchase tape, and tape the blinds to the window frame just to have some privacy. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel room. • Room temperature is unbearable: The thermostat was set to 65°F, but the room stayed around 85°F all night. We notified the front desk, and we were told someone would try to have maintenance come look at it the following day. That never happened. We are now on day two and the room is still around 82°F. • Extremely thin walls: We can hear conversations and activity from the rooms around us. There is essentially no sound insulation, making it very difficult to sleep or relax. • Shower temperature is backwards: The hot and cold settings on the shower are reversed, which is a minor iss

Very minimalistic rooms, but clean and comfy. No keys and using the Goki app was different but interesting. Floor to ceiling shades were nice. Bare concrete floors were just what we needed considering it was 105degrees outside. I’d stay there again. CVS is literally Nextdoor plus various restaurants in the building Nextdoor. As well as Hurtado’s BBQ across the street.

On the website it appears you are getting a nice hotel with nice rooms but it neither of those. The building is basically a concrete building floor to ceiling. The rooms are concrete floor to ceiling. There was a 2 inch slither of a window but other than that you are surrounded by concrete. The room was extremely hot. It was 79 degrees in the room with the thermostat set at 66 degrees. The thermostat does not work from what I observed as the air was not continuously blowing trying to cool it off in there. Like most people in Texas you cannot sleep in a 79-80 degree room. Walking to the room the hallways are completely dark. There is 1 lamp in the corner of the hallway. I would not have felt safe walking to my room in a dark hallway. The front desk was ok checking in but was no help about the air or lack of air in the room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It felt uncomfortable with concrete floor to ceiling at 79 degrees. I would recommend to find a different hotel if you are looking. This was a bad experience from start to end which was not long. We left 30 minutes after arriving due to everything listed above.

The hotel is conveniently located and the self serve staffless model is easy to use but the worst part of staying is the noise. Sounds from other guests, talking in the halls, and all internal noise is loud and very noticeable in your room. I did not sleep well and I had no ear plugs to help. Even the white noise app couldn’t help me. Be aware of the high noise levels inside the bldg and if you stay bring your ear plugs.

There were no hand towels. At all. There were some THC gummies hidden in the hair dryer bag. We asked for extra towels because there were only 2 and my husband and I were staying several days. 6 hours later, we finally got them. There were only 3 pillows and my husband had just had surgery and was required to sleep in a reclined position, so he needed them all. I didn't get to sleep with a pillow. There are no staff on the premises overnight as far as I could tell. Extended our stay by a day because my husband wasn't ready to travel yet. Had to pay WAY more for that last day booking directly through the hotel than I did for the other days through Expedia. I asked if I could keep the room we were in if I just booked again through Expedia and was told there was no guarantee. Overall, really not impressed.
