Clarion Inn Frederick Event Center

The outside of the property seemed fine. Very hard to find the check in. This hotel has a betting area and lots of strange characters in the evening. The room we had had gigantic spider web in it. The room smelled like an old musty basement. The toilet took 3 times to flush. No pool and not a hot breakfast. If you stay on the second floor, it’s a big pain getting your luggage up and down. No housekeeping except every third day and I was there 5 and no one ever came. I believe people have their residence there.

They claimed breakfast was free yet didn't provide any. The staff was lazy and unhelpful. They advertised a pool but it was not available

It was great . Safety, easy parking

Facilities were not working and upon arrival there was a big sign saying no refunds. Lamp in my room was broken. One lamp was set up where there wasn’t even a plug. There was dirt on my blanket so I didn’t even stay the night, I left.

Breakfast quality has been downgraded on our last visit.

The room was not the cleanest and the whole hotel could use a renovation.

This place has done very little to keep the property maintained. The hall carpets are torn and stained, the ceiling tiles in the hall are sagging, the exterior door near my room was broken so anybody could enter it any time of day with or without a room key. The pool was supposedly closed for maintenance but it just looks run down. My room was slightly better but there was still water and drywall damage visible, The room was always muggy with no ventilation for the shower. The air conditioning worked adequately if you cranked it all the way down to low, the temperatures were mild this week too.

The office staff were pleasant. However, there was a another guest in the same hallway with a dog that kept barking. I couldn't get much sleep after a long day on the road.

Sheets had stains on them, carpet was dirty and stained, AC didn’t work in some of our rooms, roaches in one room.

Terrible place. Dirty. Run down. Don’t ever use again.

I liked the different features at this hotel. The bar with happy hours and restaurant, huge bets room (horse racing, betting machines,etc)the sitting area around the pool, putt putt golf, table hockey, plus the back entrance of the room exits to all of the activities mentioned! Enjoyed my stay!

The hotel is undergoing renovations so I assume it will get better. The older parts are definitely worn down. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We look for to staying again once more renovations are complete.
