Ironclad Inn & Bourbon Room

Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was excellent.

The entire house is so clean. The beds are super comfortable they have the best pillows I’ve ever used. The rooms are beautiful decorated, and it just feels like your step back in time. The entire home has to stress free environment. Then we go to breakfast it’s so elegant, so beautiful presented. If it’s raining, they have umbrellas for you right in the foyer. Then if you’re like us that we forgot the code to come in after 6 PM. They text us right back right away and gave us the code…so friendly. We are definitely coming back because the house, the Ambient, and the staff is completely worth it!

Too expensive for

The staff was extremely friendly and attentive and the place was lovely and well situated. I highly recommend it!

The rooms are comfortable ..This is our second visit and we will be back in the future.

We felt so welcomed to this beautiful and cozy bed and breakfast! The innkeeper, Sharon, was so warm and helpful! The decor was gorgeous and the main areas and room, so clean! The bar downstairs was super inviting and had multiple spaces to chose from to sit! We did a whiskey tasting and ordered the smoked trout dip to enjoy with the drinks. It was out of this world! The breakfast, included with the room, was exquisite. We shared the quiche and French toast. Both were divine, and the quiche was some of the best I’ve ever had! Stay here, if near Fredericksburg, VA! You won’t be disappointed!

The Inn, its location, the staff, the food and the room itself were all terrific. I’ll definitely stay again as I travel through VA.

Love how it was decorated and how close it was to downtown Fredericksburg. And it was an added bonus with the bourbon being part of the facility.

Sadly, the Bourbon room was closed, but the staff was ice enough to let us go down and look at the room. Very cool, would stay again!

My second time visiting the inn en route from Georgia to Connecticut, and loved it even more than last year. Refreshing rest between two long days. Exceptionally appointed rooms and lovely place all around. Careful attention to guest comfort throughout (dreamy bed and linens, luxe Bigelow products, beautiful courtyard and gardens..). Enjoyed a sweet walk to Carl's Custard after arriving after dinner. My breakfast was sensational; the inn can even make a protein bowl delicious. Special thanks to Martina and to the young lady at breakfast. I look forward to next time. I so appreciate the water glasses in the rooms, a real treat since so few properties seem to offer them anymore. Coffee mugs would be wonderful instead of cardboard -- such a minor point though.. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Staff did a great job accommodating our request for a to-go breakfast.

Breakfast was tasty and speedy quick. Building was fascinating to learn about and was a comfortable stay. Definitely will be back for another stay. Bourbon bar downstairs was awesome. Great overall experience.

This Bed and Breakfast was beautiful, inside and out. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. When we checked in we went to their little restaurant and the service was incredible. We found out they were having a live band there that evening, and the band was incredible! We will definitely stay again as soon as we can.

Clean hotel. Friendly staff. Excellent location Bed in our room very high off floor. Would have preferred something different, but perfectly comfortable to sleep in.

Would love to come back and hate that we only got to stay one night. Super clean and comfortable run and house. So nice to be able to enjoy coffee on the front porch in the morning and choose between incredible breakfast options.
