The room was absolutely beautiful and the friendly staff was extraordinarily accommodating. Great stay! We’ll be back.

This hotel is incredibly beautiful!
-
Very clean on the inside and we loved the historic look on the outside. The surrounding area is very picturesque and walkable. We were also pleased to see that it was part of the Marriott family as we are members.

My wife and I stayed here for a quick getaway trip and it did not disappoint the hotel is amazing! It’s an old school vibe and it’s all so nice inside, the staff was great! The hotel is in a perfect area with tons of great restaurants and bars and shopping in walking distance. If you’re looking for a place in Fredericksburg to stay the publisher is your spot!

Everything was lovely, our only suggestion would be to add a full length mirror behind the room door. That was the only item missing.

My best friend and I had a girls weekend in Fredericksburg and stayed at The Publisher. Wow. It is an absolutely beautiful hotel, right downtown so everything is walkable, the staff were amazing, beds were comfy, shower was wonderful. It was really such a great experience. I don't think I would want to stay anywhere else when visiting Fredericksburg.

We went out of our way to stay here after two years on our way to North Carolina. We love it so much the only problems that we ran into were the breakfast taking a very long time for some simple items and the server wasn’t super friendly, but we had dinner there and drinks and we got bumped from a deluxe queen double to a king room and they gave us two free drink vouchers and free breakfast which made up for it so it was great overall

Good location, reasonably helpful staff, decent restaurant.
-
Beautiful hotel in a charming town. Walkable to several restaurants. Onsite bar and steakhouse very good. Room clean and spacious with a balcony. Highly recommend!
-
Great, clean, and nice hotel very close to food and entertainment
-
Excellent
-
Having to pay for parking. I thought the fees for parking should have been included in the room.

Beautiful hotel only thing is you can clearly hear everyone’s conversation in the hallway

I loved the hotel, the safety with having to use the key card to access the elevators/ room/ facilities on the property, and the location within walking distance of restaurants and shops/ entertainment. No microwave, or iron in the room. They provide a steamer, but I don’t care for those devices. And it’s inconvenient to have to walk food downstairs to be warmed up my the staff. I also didn’t like that I had to also request ice from the staff seeing that there are no ice machines on the floor.
-
Loved everything. The staff were fantastic. The V restaurant and the bar were top notch. Would go out of my way to stay here again. This little town was a delight also.

The rooms are tastefully designed and from the 3rd floor we had a front facing view to the hotel entrance. I used the gym twice (excellent facilities - very clean and spacious). And we had dinner at the Steakhouse downstairs - great food - there is something for everyone (including seafood and vegetarian options). A couple of small tips: (i) use the coupon in the room for 15% off at the Steakhouse (we noticed the coupon too late so didn't get to use it!) and (ii) aim for street parking near the hotel - we ended up paying $25 for the lot near the hotel, but had we been more savvy we would have taken street parking which is free on a Sunday anyway!
-
I was also charged for parking on property and did not. I’ve left messages since my stay for the GM and have not heard back him.

Top notch hotel! Good staff. Clean building. Beautiful building. Solid - no creeks, bathroom spacious with good ventilation. Heated mirror in bathroom so no fog after shower (nice). We had a balcony - they are very small and ours overlooked an old cemetery, but still cool. City parking is available across the street for a fee - we were given a pass for a fee. Easily walkable to downtown Fredricksburg. Depending on rate, this would be my first choice if I visit again.
