Comfort Suites Fultondale I-65 near I-22

They canceled my room because I was very late, the worker working was new instead of reimbursing me he made me pay for another room. The next morning I talked to a different worker and he made it right.

Room was spacious. Resturants in ealkibg distance Had to move rooms. First one had wet floor because air conditioner was leaking. Second room had a bad musty odor. Property looked rundown. There was trash all over the parking lot even though one male rmployee looked like he was trying hard to clean it up.

Room wasn't cool enough. Not enough towels and bath cloths.

Nothing This was the worst experience with this particular brand hotel. When we arrived we were not greeted by friendly staff member but rather a woman who obviously hated the world and her job. Got our room keys and then went to our event we were in town for to return to the room later that night. When we pulled in the parking lot to park there were no spaces left and on the side parking there was a ton of construction material and a large dumpster occupying most of the parking. We found a makeshift parking spot by the construction material which didn’t feel safe. When we got to the third floor the entire floor smells of smoke. Not, someone lit a cigarette and it smells, but the kind that says my grandparents had been smoking on this floor for 50 years and it’s baked in the walls and carpets. This was the smell that don’t go away with a can of air freshener. In our room the beds are on metal bases and pops and cracks every time you get on and off, the floor was soaking wet by the window from all the rain I’m imagining. The sofa-bed that we were going to use for our daughter was stained worse than the St Marks Cathedral stained glass windows. The next morning I go downstairs to get a nice hot breakfast to ease the pain of this horrible stay thus far, and what do you know, the have a sign up that says no hot breakfast today, sorry. Literally two clear plastic containers of Cheerios and cornflakes. That was the last straw for me. I went to the counter to speak to the same super friendly woman at the desk and I asked her about the construction and no parking spots and why they didn’t notify guests before arrival. She didn’t have an answer other than the hotel wouldn’t be fully booked tonight so there should be parking. I wasn’t finished with my questions or talking when the phone rang and she immediately picked up and ignored me standing at the front desk. I asked for a manager but she said they wouldn’t be in until Monday.

I don’t often give bad reviews but this hotel was TERRIBLE. it started with the check-in. It was raining and an employee had their vehicle parked in the covered area so we were forced to get wet while u loading our luggage. We were in town for a softball tournament and booked this hotel because they had laundry facilities or at least we thought they did. When we asked for the laundry we were told it doesn’t work. Wonderful. Then we wake up to go eat breakfast and there’s no hot breakfast as they advertised. They only provided cereal, milk and individually Saran wrapped bread. Someone broke down a loaf and Saran wrapped the bread by hand. The sink in our bathroom was cracked. The tub had stains in it. I pulled the bedding back and there were long hairs on the sheets. The AC was set on 80° when we walked in the room. We turned it down as low as it would go and it took an hour to get to a comfortable temperature. Once the AC got cool, the carpet around the AC began to get wet. This extended to about 2 feet from the AC. Our door had a chunk missing from the bottom. YOU COULD SEE OUTSIDE AND INSIDE OUR ROOM. The place reeked of cigarette and marijuana smoke. There was a male inside the stairwell smoking weed one night. Choice Hotels has gone downhill significantly in the last several years. Avoid this hotel at all costs. I don’t care about the fake accounts giving this place 10s. It’s all lies. This place is horrible.

Breakfast was good. Rooms were clean. Booked for 3 days but kept getting locked out of room and had to go down to front desk each day to update key card.

This morning they had no hot breakfast. No milk for cereal. No waffles no toast. Juice and coffee. We had counted on the good breakfast we always get at choice hotels. Thats the main reason I picked here. The staff was very rude. We could have stayed at any of the better hotels in the area even another choice Comfort Suites.

Construction going on room was dirty upon arrival and found door open. Staff moved me to another room

When we got off the elevator on our floor it smelled like weed. Our first room didn't have any hot water, ( because of the renovations) so we had to move to another one. It was clean and had hot water. The air conditioner kept in cool in the room( thank goodness). Overall our stay was good and quiet. We didn't have the breakfast. The only problem we seen was that it needs a bigger parking lot.

The location It wasn’t clean, breakfast was horrible and rushed, staff wasn’t friendly

Rust in the tub. Had to hold the shower head. AC unit power cord on the ground. Bed frames loud and don’t fit the bed. No luggage holders. No Kleenex’s available

Location, cleanliness and hospitality

When we first arrived we got a room that smelled so bad of marijuana and our kids hated it. We went back and got a different room and the air didn’t hardly work. We were hot all night. Beer and trash was everywhere outside pool area and groups of people smoking weed. NOT a kid friendly place. Breakfast was what to be expected from everything else that went wrong. Not a pleasant stay. Won’t come back here on next trip

Convenient to the interstate and had restaurants and stores you could visit for a meal or pick up things needed for traveling. Somewhat secluded and wedged between the gas stations and restaurants.

When this was brought to the desk clerk’s attention, all he said was he’d notify maintenance. Not satisfied in any way.

The hotels is convenient to stores and restaurants in the area. I good hotels for a in and out stay. Honestly, the bathroom tub could be improved.
