Comfort Suites Gainesville near University

Good rate for vacation spot.

Comfortable rooms, great location

Front desk person was a delight; she was friendly and helpful at all times. We checked in Thursday evening and checked out Sunday morning. I wish I could recall her name, we enjoyed the pool, however I know it was Gainesville with many young people before moving into the dorms but wish there was no smell of weed in the hall. Other than that, everything was clean, do wish the breakfast would be longer than just 9 on weekdays and 9:30, also selection of more fruit and a variety of yogurt. Clean room and parking were plentiful.

The hotel location closeness to UF it is great, service was good, the room was clean, plenty free parking on site, overall nothing fancy but good for a short stay.

Good hotel. Perfect for our couples trip to Devils Den. Staff was friendly and the room was clean. Not much more i could ask for.

Breakfast was fresh. Attendant at breakfast was friendly and kept the room and sitting area very clean.

We found this property to be exceptionally clean and well maintained. Parking was conveniently located to an outside door, close to an elevator. The only problem we had (hence the 4 stars instead of 5) was the height of the mattresses. My husband is disabled and is unable to raise his legs very high. I need to help him raise his legs. We were unable to get him on the mattress (which was very high), and he had no choice but to sleep on the sofa. Other people will probably not have this problem, but it was a hardship for us. Loved the hotel, but unfortunately we will not be returning because of this.

Good stuff

I checked into this hotel thinking it was the right location. Mind you, I did not book this location through Expedia, so I am not sure how I am even getting this review survey. The staff actually checked me in, but my reservation was for a different location. However, she did not tell me. Instead, she booked me at this location without telling me what happened, and I ended up incurring a one-night cancellation fee from the correct Comfort Suites down the street. Had I known I was just at the wrong location, I would have left and went where I had a reservation.

Everything was perfect! The hotel was spotless, the room was comfortable, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The location was excellent and made everything very convenient. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Had a nice stay. The room was great, staff were helpful, and had delicious oatmeal at the free breakfast :)
