Comfort Inn & Suites Galveston Central Island near Pier

The hotel is very old and not well maintained. The carpet was dirty and the room smelled moldy. The air-conditioner kept us up all night long. Breakfast was decent, but the area was not clean. There was trash everywhere. Very disappointed.

Room was not cleaned well. Gnats in lobby all over food and bev.

The room is clean but my bathroom toilet holder was broken. I had to wait 15 minutes for a staff to check me in. It looks like it’s a one man show at the front desk. Staff are super friendly though and allowed us to park our car there few hours before check in and that’s a plus. This is my second time staying here and I will book here again. It’s walking distance to the pier and all restaurants. We were able to see fireworks and parade too.

The room was not cleaned. Dirty sheets, towels, floor. My husband grabbed a bottle of cleaner and cleaned the floor for us. There was blood on out sheets and on one of the towels- it looked fresh and unwashed. DO NOT STAY HERE! MAJOR HEALTH CONCERNS.

Room was clean and love the view. Will definitely be back!!

This place was very run down and dirty. The room was not clean and had a mildew smell. There was also mold growing on the walls and the toilet didn’t work. Avoid this place

Upgraded to a room, but the jacuzzi had black mildew around the drain and our tv screen was broken.

Decent room for an older property ! It was quiet and beds were comfortable! Walking distance to many good restaurants! Kinda of pricy but typical for summertime!

We were told that our room was sold when we got there, no communication prior. Large cardboard boxes in lobby Front desk clerk (lady) was abrasive and dismissive and unhelpful We were happy to go elsewhere.

We loved our stay and whenever we travel will only stay there

The bathroom had a hole the size of a fist that was plugged with tissue. The shower had mold dripping down the wall. The toilet was filthy. We had to ask for towels. The carpet had a huge stain right when you walked in. There was so much that could have been easily fixed or cleaned. It was not a pleasant stay at all.

Upon check in the lady at the front desk was very nice and was happy to upgrade our room to a king size bed vs two queens. We proceeded to our room and we walk in and started to unloaded our stuff. The wife noticed the bathroom floor felt wet and sticky to the bare feet, so did the carpet. No rails in the tub area and the tub was very slippery. No hand towels and nowhere to hang hand towels the shower curtain hanged so low and I thought how would it be able to dry. The towels were stained and dingy, and the restroom and the room could use a fresh coat of paint. The carpet could be steamed cleaned behind the headboard of the bed hasn't been vacuumed behind it in some time. The windows and screens had a thick film on them. We went down stairs to check out the pool and were hit with a funk soon as we went through the doors. The trash can was overflowing with trash and the entire area needs a good power washing. The messed up thing is the trash was there the next day. Now let me tell about the breakfast area we didn't think the set up was all that great but we made the best out it. The second day was much better than the first. The attendant was really nice and was very attentive. Maybe some variety of fruits and yogurt's and clean the cereal dispenser. The waffles are the best thing on the buffet maybe adding some toppings, powdered sugar, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips would really make them stand out.

Management is unreasonable. This hotel is very unreasonable. I would not recommend them to anyone. You guys need to update your policies

Great and friendly staff! They do not have a business center or fitness center despite advertising as such. Both of these rooms are used as storage and are not accessible.

The staff over was very nice and willing to help, but the parking area needs to be bigger but overall it was a decent place and I think we will possibly be back to stay again.

The staff was amazing. The room was lacking and dirty. The sheets were stained. The phone in the room did not work.
