Hyatt Select Galveston - Beachfront

you guys shouldn't have treated as front to beach or something because its a bit far and most its by the side . i felt like i should have used this most cheapest room you could get because its doesn't makes any difference google

Pleasant

The proximity to the beach and the views are what caught my eye and they didn't disappoint. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good. The best thing about my stay hands-down was the service. LaLa, Jessica, Keona, and Alba were a pleasure. If I ever make my way back to Galveston, Hyatt Select will definitely get my reservation.

Unfortunately, the air-conditioning unit was extremely noisy whenever it started cooling the room. It sounded almost like a lawn mower running. During the day, the noise was less noticeable while we were watching television or talking, but at night, once everything was quiet, it made it very difficult to fall asleep. We originally thought the problem was limited to our room, but my brother-in-law, who was staying in a different room, experienced the same issue. As a result, none of us slept well. Overall, we liked the hotel, its location, and the service. However, we hope management will consider inspecting or updating the air-conditioning units, because the excessive noise significantly affected the comfort of our stay.

The property had a good location but a little confusing to get to the right one hotel.. the sign could have been clearer. The bathroom wasn’t as clean as it could have been.

Using booking.com I thought I was getting a balcony with a view of the ocean. But that hotel has no view of the ocean. The balconies only show side views. I was under the impression that I would have a balcony with a view of the ocean and that was very disappointing. Also, the breakfast was one of the worst I've had in a hotel. That lousy sausage that some hotels serve is awful. There were no eggs. It was just some little egg muffin which was terrible-tasting. Coffee was fine. I made myself a waffle with a waffle iron. Breakfast choices were not good. I already said. The option of having a view of the water was not available and the breakfast was horrible and the hotel should be ashamed to be serving a breakfast like that.

The beds were comfortable and the parking was convenient that’s about it. This is definitely not a Hyatt standard hotel. Things are glued together random patches everywhere. Apparent structure damage and the cleanliness was subpar, smells everywhere. Terrible breakfast if you want to call it that. A/c wasn’t working when we arrived called the front desk 50 times with no answer just to walk downstairs and see her on her personal phone.

Clean rooms, wonderful variety at breakfast. While getting ready to leave, I had forgotten my cane. A person from the front desk ran out to my car with it saying I had left it in the room. Oh, so very greateful!
