Hyatt Select Galveston - Beachfront

Barely a maid service, but front desk staff was very helpful.

I loved the breakfast and hospitality just waited too long for elevators

Staff was great!! I know the hotel had recently been remodeled. They still need to work out the problems. Refrigerator did not work. Maintenance brought a new one and that one did not work either. Air conditioning start to smoke in the middle of the night. Front elevator worked half of the time. Once again, the staff was great and were dealing with a lot.

Hotel was excellent. Very friendly staff, the property was clean and newly renovated. It’s right on the seawall, so access to the beach was very convenient. Our room had a balcony with a great view. We will definitely stay here again.

Check in was easy and lala was very nice and very friendly! The room was clean and had plenty of linens. Breakfast was good and had plenty of options. We really enjoyed our weekend stay.

Ocean views are from a side rather than full on. Beach is about a 5-10 min walk across a parking lot and a busy road. But it’s still close. Breakfast could be improved. Somewhat limited offerings and dining room is small. Staff helpful and rooms clean.

Great property and great staff. Will definitely stay here again.

The staff was very friendly at the desk despite being visibly overwhelmed and performing several duties at the same time.

Elevators were horrible

We had a partial ocean view. Nice place and having renovations but that did not affect our stay. We did not use any of the amenities so we cannot rate them. My favorite breakfast at a hotel chain is PB on waffles and they were wonderful. Did not care for the egg bites but overall enjoyed our stay!

The staff were fantastic, the rooms were fine except for the bed which was extremely uncomfortable and the pillows would deflate to absolutely nothing the second you laid your head down. Other than that it was a fine hotel for the price and conveniently located.

Rooms were nice and clean staff were helpful. Only thing is we checked in Sunday and check out Friday morning at 2 am and they never came to clean the room just refresh towels and little toiletries. But overall stay was great.

It was a great stay and very pet friendly. Close to the ocean and walk was close to the beach!

Inside pool not warm very cold, a/c unit leaking , remodeling going on right now and restroom falling apart over all not the best hotel.

You advertise Oceanview , they do not have Oceanview, they have partial Oceanview. This was false advertisement.

I ask for my room too be clean and it wasn't done.

This was our first stay at a Hyatt and honestly out of our budget so this was a very nice stay. Our first room was on a lower level with an ocean view and our son was unable to see the view so we asked for a room higher up and were very thankful to have received one! Very nice hotel, small issues within the room but what hotel doesn’t have those. Will come back in the future.

This was a very nice hotel. It was in a great location. There were many fast food and restaurants within very short walking distance. 61st Pier was right across the street. The only issue I had was the mattresses in our room were very sunken down on one side- not comfortable. I would stay here again.
