We stay here every year when we come to visit the grandkids. We love it. Very clean and the friendliest staff of any place we stay when we travel. Very convenient location for restaurants and stores. Cleanliness is very important to us and this place is very clean, even the exterior is kept clean. Would like larger trash bins for longer stays. This is the only thing I could come up with that I didn't like. Lol.

The whole staff was very friendly and the room was clean. If, I needed room while I'm in the area, the Hampton Inn will my first choice.

The room was clean however the entire hotel is a bit dated.

Lady at the front desk in the morning was exceptional. I overheard her dealing with a serious problem and she was spot on. Very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, neat, and spacious. Only slight negative was that the closet was tiny. Good for an overnight stay but not for several days. Breakfast was quite good.

The Hampton Inn Gastonia-Charlotte is a great hotel and a wonderful place to stay. I enjoyed the cleanliness, coziness, decor, and convenience of my room. The interior design selections are spot-on and exhibit talent and experience. My compliments to the management for maintaining this property at a high level and for providing a pleasant, accommodating staff.

Hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Expensive for what it was. Also a bottle of water was $5.00, pretty ridiculous when the rooms are already over $200 a night.

After a bit of a dispute with the lady at the front counter on Friday night, September 4, the two ladies that were working the next morning were very kind and helpful to resolve the issue from the night before. The lady that was working at the front counter Friday, September 4 in the evening was rude and said she could not give us a refund for the card. She gave us for the beer and wine tap that did not work. She saw that it was not working and said that we were being hard to get along with because we were asking for a refund.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel from Sept 3-5 2026. EVERYTHING was excellent. We travel quite a bit and I must say that this was the cleanest, quietest, kindest- staff hotel we have ever stayed. They also provided a wonderful breakfast. Any time we are in the Gastonia area again, we will definitely e returning here.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. We loved the large bottles of soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion!! Breakfast was wonderful. The pool was clean and refreshing. The staff was very welcoming and went out of there way to provide an extra room for our daughter on our last night, right across the hall from our room and at a very reasonable rate! Thank you Hampton Inn!! I recommend this hotel. It has to be one of the top five hotels that I've ever stayed in!
