Renaissance® Phoenix Glendale Hotel & Conference Center

This property is located in the WestGate ENTERTAINMENT District. However, the hotel is trying to maintain a quiet, peaceful ambiance. It is not aligned with the location. While at the pool, security is constantly rounding and asking questions of its guests. My family booked 5 rooms. There were a lot of us. It was disrespectful and annoying to feel as though we were being watched. We had kids with us. Brought snacks to the pool for them. We didn’t know that is prohibited. It was not a great experience. Also, 5 teens were shot right next door. Not the first time in this area. Which is why I mention above this is in the center of the ENTERTAINMENT district.

The place was very clean and very inviting. I definitely recommend this place especially for the price.

Excellent staff! I let them know it was a stay for my wife’s birthday and they hooked it up with a few upgrades and included breakfast! We will definitely stay here again! Very reasonably priced and it’s in the heart of everything! Overall it was very nice and I cannot find one negative to post.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. My fist time traveling with dog. From the time I got out of car, they assisted opening doors, and offering assistance. The hotel was very spacious and beautiful. The room was so comfortable. After long drive so relaxing. There amenities most excellent. Pool, patio and lounge areas so we'll kept and designed with comfort and luxury.

We had a great stay at the Renaissance! The staff were amazing & everything was well maintained! The rooms were also very clean and well kept! Would stay here again!!

Great Hotel! Clean and friendly

The problems started at check-in. The front desk staff was rude, and we had to wait about 40 minutes because of an issue in their system. We were exhausted after traveling and had a small child who was tired and ready to sleep. From the beginning, the hotel did not want to give us the room type we had booked through Expedia. The listing showed a room with a balcony, and that was the room I reserved. The staff insisted that, according to their system, our reservation was for a room without a balcony. If there is a discrepancy between the hotel's inventory and the photos displayed on Expedia, that is something the hotel and Expedia should resolve between themselves. As a guest, I booked the room that was advertised. We were also given a $15 food and beverage credit. I specifically asked whether it could be used the following morning for breakfast, and I was told that it could. However, when the final charges were posted, the credit was not applied because, according to the hotel, it could not be used the next day. This directly contradicted the information provided at check-in. In addition, we were told that parking would be complimentary as a birthday gesture for our son. However, the parking charge was still included on our bill. Another issue was breakfast. When I booked through Expedia, the reservation indicated that a breakfast buffet was included. Parking was good and convenient and reasonably priced. TV options were basically local channels, for the room price there should be some premium offered. The room and bed was very comfortable pillows were great.

Booked this room months ago to go to a concert. I went to check in and was told they oversold rooms so those who used a third party got bumped to a different hotel. Now, instead of walking a safe path to the hotel, we ended up going through construction and walking late by ourselves. As a female traveler, I carefully choose spaces to stay and will pay extra to be safe… being sent to a cheaper hotel in a not as lighted area is not what I’m looking for, if it was, I would have booked there. I travel quite a bit and this hotel is now on my no list as they don’t seem to care about female safety.

And for the price you can not beat it or maybe i got lucky that day that the price was affordable. But 5 star is an understatement for this place. Good job to all the staff members and kudos to you for this wonderful place that you have here and the way you run it and is maintained. Defenetly will stay here again in the near future since it seems that work will bring me back to arizona.
