    The property grounds are pretty and the location good - right in between Santa Barbara and Goleta, off the freeway and near coffee, stores, etc. The pool and spa are good sized and well heated. The rooms are eh. Beds were comfy but overall cleanliness and shape need work. On the 2nd day, our room had a horrible smell coming from the bathroom sink. It was gross (room 222).

    Loved the breakfast. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The housekeepers were amazing about keeping the room clean (by request) and the location was ideal for vacationing. This was a wonderful hotel. Thank you!

    Pool area was very nice. Room was a little dirty upon arrival. Water got shut off to the entire complex for one whole afternoon for which we are requesting a refund for that day.

    We would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was great! The rooms and property were clean and well maintained. The beds were a little on the soft side for me but I slept fine. The only issue I had were that the lights in the room are really bright so if you have kids that you are putting to sleep early and adults want to stay up that might be difficult. Other than that wet really enjoyed the ping pong table. It’s very close to the beach and UCSB! Walking distance from supermarket and restaurants too.

    Asked housekeeping for more towel or to replace/swap my towels and her response was call front desk, called front desk and no answer. So I took towels for the pool area SMH

    I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my stay at Best Western Plus South Coast Inn, Goleta, California, booked through Booking.com under Confirmation Number 6227842878. I have been using booking platform for more than 25 years, and I have never experienced anything as shocking and unprofessional as what happened during this stay. When my family and I arrived at approximately 10:00 PM, we were greeted by a receptionist who was unfriendly and unprofessional from the very beginning. We were assigned a room that was far from both the restaurant and the swimming pool. When I politely asked whether we could be moved to a closer room, I was immediately told that there were no other rooms available, without any attempt to help. The more serious issue was that the room we received was not the room we had reserved. My Booking.com confirmation clearly states that the reservation was for four guests, yet the hotel gave us a room that could only comfortably accommodate three people. I called the front desk to explain the situation and request assistance. Instead of trying to help, the receptionist told me that there were no other rooms available and that if I was unhappy, they would simply cancel my reservation. Considering that it was already late at night and I was traveling with my wife and young children, this was not a reasonable solution. During the phone call, the receptionist spoke to me in a disrespectful manner and abruptly hung up on me. I then went to the front desk to calmly discuss the matter in person and asked to speak with the manager. Rather than trying to resolve the issue, another employee accused me of "intimidating" the receptionist simply because I am a larger person and she is smaller. I found this accusation offensive, inappropriate, and completely false. At no time did I threaten anyone or raise my voice. I was only asking for the room that I had paid for.     The room had everything we needed for our stay. We were comfortable in the room. Breakfast had plenty of options. We did not use the pool while we stayed. We parked further from the entrance, but there were a few convenient ways to get to our room and other facilities. The elevator helped a lot. There were a couple of areas that were dusty in our room. I usually wipe down things like remote controls, phones, bathroom sink etc before settling in. While looking around the beds, the reading lights were dusty. Overall, not the worst, but only mentioning this because we do have someone that is sensitive to dust.

    I had a great stay at this Best Western Plus South Coast Inn. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. I especially appreciated the on-site EV charging, which made traveling much more convenient. The gym was well-equipped, and the breakfast offered a great variety of options to start the day. The location was also excellent, with easy access to nearby restaurants and attractions. Overall, a wonderful stay, and I would definitely choose this hotel again!
