Motel 6 Goleta, CA - Santa Barbara

Staff was polite The room reeked of mould, possibly from the old ac units. This was a problem because two of our friends have asthma and were worried for their health. They decided to sleep in the car.

The automatic check-in kiosk did not work, and they made me try 3 times, a lot of time wasted. AC did not work in my room. Room was tiny and bed was hard and sheets itchy.

The room was dirty. Found 1 bug on the bed and 1 roach on the sink. Found a ball of hair on the ground next to the A/C unit. Shower head was covered in white mineral that could easily be cleaned off. 2 of the towels were dirty. For the price of the motel I would have expected a little more cleanness.

The motel is very conveniently located near grocery stores, drug stores, various restaurants, and other retail establishments. The TV channel selections was modest and the channel selection process was awkward. A single channel guide with scrolling through 48 channels or so, no premium channel availability.

This is the old Motel 6 that is the new Motel $206 with very basic amenities, like it was back in the 70s. I was only in Santa Barbara for a 24-hour visit, so it was ok for a place to sleep and shower.

liked the property, quite, very nice i woke up a little late, and check out a little late, went to check out and the worker was kinda rude, gave me a little attitude, i know i was a little late into checking out but she could’ve been a little nicer talking to me, over all stay was good.

Parking was plentiful & the young lady that checked us in was awesome. It wasn't as close to the Festival we were there for as I thought. Upstairs, no elevators. Our room was being repaired when we got there, so we took the next room over. It was small for a double, but adequate.

The location No elevators and told to go to the 2nd floor. Carrying heavy stuff for baby. Lady at front desk wasn’t any help. Also Asked for a pack and play and just was told no we don’t have any. No blow drier in the bathroom either. Not staying here ever again

The room, furnishings and bathroom were stark and below expectations. I never will book it again.

I felt safe, even in a ground floor room facing the parking lot. It was an easy walk to several coffee establishments, pizza, Trader Joe's. It was very close to the freeway exit. It was stuffy in the room, but there was AC. There was also a clean refrigerator & microwave. They had a kiosk to check you in when the front desk was busy. Some might regard this as a convenience, but for me, I felt like there was no human contact. Room design: I couldn't decide if it was satirical to make it look like early 60's Jetsons or if it hadn't been updated in decades. The bath had mold around the caulking & hairs. The towels were thin. There was a washcloth, which is rarely provided these days. No coffee making equipment. The price was over $250 when I booked it, more than I paid this summer for a 4 star hotel room at Stockholm airport! It was UCSB move in weekend so rooms surged to about $350 before they sold out.
