I have never had a bad experience like this. When we arrived we had to check in on a webcam/computer with someone remote. Then I went to the room. The entire outside of the hotel smelled like stale beer as we went to open the door. Then we went into our room. It was dirty and the beds were not properly made. The floor was dusty, the the bathroom was filthy. The beds were not double as I had paid for but XL twins. The room was tiny. I couldn’t get someone at the front desk to see about changing rooms. I then contacted Expedia for help. I asked to get my money back and switch hotels. I had someone help me but never got back to me. I went ahead and switched hotels. I went back the motel 6 the next morning to check out and get my money back. I was assured I would be refunded and contacted by the manager this did not happen. I have now reached out multiple times for help to the motel 6 and Expedia and not gotten my money back. Very disappointed. I really hope this issue can be resolved. I need my money back.

The staff at the front desk was very helpful and efficient in checking me in.
-
The check in process was virtual which was new to me. I could barely understand the person on the Kiosk that was helping me with check in

No place to sit and relax

It had everything we needed and was close to airport!

The rooms are very small. We didn't have much luggage , so we were ok , but if you have 1-2 big suitcase it will be tough to fit. Rooms have a mini fridge and microwave but there is no coffee machine in the rooms. Our room didn't even have a "Do not disturb" sign - not sure if it was just missing from our room or general policy. Very frugal (less towels, soaps, shampoo etc), which is okay given the low price , but the horrible behavior is totally inexcusable! other reviewers have reported the rude behavior too ! BEWARE!

I have stayed at many motel 6 in the past. After my experience at this motel 6, I will never stay at a motel 6 again, NEVER ! The check in process was a computerized screen interaction with a person that spoke poor English in a volume that made it nearly impossible to comprehend. The location is directly adjacent to the freeway which ment it was noisy all night. The doorway to the room had a 3/8 inch gap which allowed weather and light into the room all night and the doorway locking was questionable. My wife said she would not have stayed there by herself for lack of secure door locks. At 7am the gardening staff decided it was appropriate to run gas powered tools, I can’t understand why they would find that acceptable. And lastly, most of the rooms were occupied by construction crews working in the area which ment that all of the parking spots were filled with work trucks leaving ZERO for other guest, ( no on street parking was available), which ment parking my car at a local Walgreens/ or other store over night, or using a handicapped spot, (the only spot that wasn’t occupied), in the motel lot. Because of my experience (and I don’t expect perfection and always try to leave positive reviews). I strongly recommend that you DO NOT stay at this location.

This is the worst hotel I've ever been. The room had an extremely horrible smell and they refused to change room. So I had to find a different hotel to stay that night. The staff agreed to refund, but when I submitted a request online, they refused to refund. DO NOT go to this hotel, and DO NOT use hotels.com. Their customer service helped nothing. Their logic was like "because a bad hotel did not agree to refund, so we let the bad hotel not refund".

Todo estava bien linpio

Seemed redundant to check in with a kiosk when there were humans right there. Very unwelcoming.

Stayed here for a last minute overnight trip. Room clean.

I had to scan my driver's license and get a picture taken before a key was spit out of the machine along with a small receipt with the room number. This might make sense for a high-end hotel but not Motel 6! I realize this is the future trend. It would have been helpful to be made aware of the pilot before checking in. The person on-site was not helpful but that may have due to my tired annoyance. If this was a pilot, there should have been processes in place for human intervention. I noticed later that another customer going through a similar process because of being blindsided. I stayed during a peak period in Santa Barbara. I was running late and called the hotel to alert them of my late arrival to ensure the reservation was not cancelled. When I called, I was told there was no problem because they had taken my money already. Not an ideal customer service response. I have stayed at this hotel several times and had good experiences all other times. It is in a good location to UCSB with several amenities nearby. I considered it a good value for the price. However, I will check before booking next time abou the check in process M

Good location. Clean and decent sized room, at a reasonable rate.

It was great

Adequate place to stay if you don't t want to spend a fortune. The rooms are clean and the location is convenient.

Entering the room at Motel 6 was like going back in time to the early 90s. I don't think that they put any money into this cash cow. Old, clunky, smelly, and definitely not worth the price.

This was a terrible experience. Rude front desk staff, dirty broke down motel, frankly a bit scary, cockroaches in the room, pool that did not look fit for use.

We were there for graduation weekend, a very busy time. The staff was very helpful and kind. The room was clean and the mattress was good. The outside was well used but we weren’t there to hang out at the motel. Proximity to the freeway was convenient but noisy if you want the window open. Altogether an okay choice for an economic stay.

The property was old but well maintained. It has enough parking and the staff was very helpful. The room was not big but enough for 2 adults and 2 kids (10, 12 yo).

Checkin was a terrible experience. There was a desk clerk who pointed me to a kiosk that was under a very loud air conditioner so I couldn’t hear the lady in The video. This is very bad customer service. I would hesitate to stay in a Motel 6 in the future if this is the new normal process. They didn’t understand I already had a reservation besides. It took forever because of the language barrier as well
