Garner Hotel Gonzales by IHG

The staff was amazing! I booked a room for my oldest daughter, just a king bed. But some friends of ours needed help & with a phone call they were super sweet about helping us change our room to a double queen.

The rooms were very clean , staff very friendly. Breakfast was great. I will be back again . Thank you

Room was ok for 1 night. The property needs a lot of cleaning and updating . Bathroom had no shelf for storing your clothes during a shower and no room to place a makeup bag let alone any bathroom supplies . Don’t be fooled like I was just because it’s an IHG property

This hotel is maintained poorly , our room is dusty and having strong like pesticide smell, our bedsheet has stains on it.

Parking was easy. The refrigerator and microwave were both missing. The A/C was difficult to regulate and very noisy.

The last morning there was the same Breakfast wasn’t what was expected They didn’t bring towels or empty trash It was a very clean and nice place just wish mornings were better

Friendly and very clean

I booked a suite with one queen bed. We were given a standard room - no explanation as to why. We didn't discover this until we entered the room we were assigned. We had been charged for a much more expensive room. I went back down to the desk and was told that all suites were booked. I showed the desk clerk that i booked a suite and was told to wait 5 minutes while she checked "something". She came back and told me she had a room for us but the toilet needed to be fixed before we could move in. About an hour later, we were moved to a handicap accessible room. It was bigger but i don't think it was the suite that i paid for. This was just the start of a terrible stay. There were huge roaches in the small dining area, our view from the room was a parking lot and a fenced-off area full of wrecked vehicles. The first morning we were there, the hot breakfast was totally eaten by transient workers and never replenished. We had to save and reuse our disposable coffee cups because they ran out and no one was at the desk to ask for more. The price i paid (over $300) for two nights was a rip-off. I DO NOT recommend this hotel.

It was a good stay!

The staff were friendly and polite, which we appreciated. Unfortunately the room itself had several problems. The toilet would not flush properly, the air conditioner rattled loudly all night, and the microwave sounded like it was malfunctioning and wouldn’t even warm coffee. The bathroom door was extremely heavy and difficult to open, and there were very few outlets in the room. There was also a noticeable stain on the bedding. Overall the room needs significant maintenance and updating.

Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this trash spot as you can! Door didn’t lock, no fridge or microwave, no air conditioning, and a manager that is rude and disrespectful! He even thinks it’s fine to park in the handicap spot by the entrance even tho he has no disability plate or plaque!

Staff members were friendly. Room was average little dated. Remote didn’t work thought it was battery so we took it to get new ones, but come to find out it wasn’t even the right remote for the tv. Return to desk and they tried to figure it out but after half hour just gave up. Breakfast was below average, nothing was working.

Really nice hotel. The beds are SO comfy!

If it wasn’t late when we arrived at the room, we would have asked to be moved, the mattress was very very hard, there was only one bath towel, one hand towel and two wash clothes, again it was late so my husband and I had to use the same bath towel to dry off. There are no wall outlets near the bed to charge our phones. We had to put them across the room by the tv.

Clean, comfortable and quiet. Housekeeping forgot a few of their details like filling soap and shampoo dispensers and supplying enough towels before the guests arrived.
