Baymont by Wyndham Grand Haven

Front desk staff literally ran after my 11-year-old through the halls, after she was laughing too loudly in the halls. Terrifying! Same staff member accused all kids in the pool of being there without adults, when we were literally on the patio off the pool with the door open. Hotel is run down. Pool was so hot it was unusable for adults.

Convenient location, comfortable bads and good breakfast.

We enjoyed the proximity to the beach, dining, and highway. The pool was great and we enjoyed meals on the patio. The breakfast was perfect for our family, too.

Clean nice facility

I want to do a shout out to the fella that was restocking the towels in the pool area. I was sitting just outside the pool handling a business call and he was sweet enough to pick up the towel cart across the tiles so that he wasn't interrupting my call. That was so very thoughtful. We have stayed at this hotel a few times now and we have always enjoyed our stays. My only suggestion is to get one more toaster in the breakfast area. There is always a line for the toaster. :D

Clean room. Appreciate the makeup remover wipes. Friendly staff. Good variety of free breakfast offerings. Greatly appreciate the dog-friendly amenity--it was a lifesaver--including the grassy area and poop bag station.

Pool and hot tub were impeccable!! Clean and beautiful pool area. Breakfast was really cramped. The staff did a great job trying to keep up - the staff were great! Our first room didn’t have AC and it was super loud and noisy, thankfully there was another room available and the front desk was able to move our room. Over all great stay.

The Baymont in Grand Haven was not as advertised. It felt more like an older motel than a hotel. The sheets and pillowcases were dirty, the room was missing toilet paper, and the TV barely worked because of lines on the screen and needd to be replace.It was always "something ".The free breakfast was okay ; the pool looked closed or poorly maintained. Overall, it was overpriced for the quality. I would rate my stay 3 out of 10 and would not stay here again.

Our first impression of the stay was the front desk worker. I apologize. I failed to get his name. Younger gentleman though. Very very nice. Everything was quick and easy and he was handling a line of guests with ease. Property was nice honestly. Pool was warm as well. Everything worked. The blow dryer was a little sketchy. We didn’t “have” to use it so it wasn’t a big deal but it smelled like it was dangerous. The only complaint isn’t even the hotel, more so our experience with other guests. There were a family in the hot tub from 6pm until well past pool closing time. We were unable to utilize due to this. They were all drinking alcohol as well. Which, I get it. It’s usually vacation. Have fun. But it just sucked we couldn’t use the hot tub. Regardless we would stay here again.

The lights flickered in the bathroom. There was a line of mold in the tub under the fitted bathroom walls. No elevator on property. I understand there are only two floors. If you need medical assistance to move around, I do not recommend.

The coffee maker was broken in my room.

Breakfast variety was nice and the area was well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful, and available when needed. The pool area had an odor that needed attention. Perhaps more frequent mopping is needed throughout the day. The overall humidity of the hotel and rooms is probably a result of the pool being heated as well as it is, but it does result in an uncomfortable damp feeling that's hard to not feel icky about. Fans in the rooms might make a difference.

The sink drain didn’t work, the shower curtain rod was bent down so the curtain wouldn’t stay closed, there was no shampoo or conditioner in the bottles and there’s no elevator
