Looking Glass Beachfront Inn

Great location right on the by the beach. Loved our time there.

Parking is on street level and will need to use the tram that’s available it be prepared to schlep your luggage up quite a long stair case. We had the smallest room in the house but it was fine. There was a partial lake view but the sunsets were fine watching from the common room window. Ease walk to the pier and beach. Downtown is probably a mile hike but not that bad. Host is gracious and makes a good breakfast. I would easily stay here again.

Owner was very friendly, and helpful. Beautiful view, good location,well kept older home. Be sure you are aware that there are many steps necessary to get up to the house.

Weekend getaway with great views and great food at local restaurants. Also found great fishing spots.

Great location. The funicular was also great - saves climbing ~60 steps on the way up to the inn. Bryan was great company and very helpful. Breakfast was quite tasty and we enjoyed getting to know our host and fellow guests. Bryan checked our room as we were leaving and brought us a laptop charging cable we had left behind. Thank you! The accommodations were fine, but we expected things to be a little higher end based on the price and property description.

B& B. With a beautiful view as well from front porch . The gathering quarters were clean quiet and comfortable. The host was nice and the entire facilities were clean. It was a nice touch he offered beach equipment and towels and offered a decent breakfast and coffee in the morning. He was readily available for communication. And there were walkable eateries from B& B. Our bed was uncomfortable. The room was very small. We looked in on some of the other rooms and they were much nicer. Roomy and better aesthetics , better bathroom facilities, however not sure how this was reflected in price so perhaps these rooms were pricier. Not sure. We felt like our room was a bit pricey for what we got but he did give us a small discount being we didn't need the additional small kid area since we were traveling as a couple. The only other advice I'd give would be to purchase white towels so that they can be sanitized properly and a nicer touch and ask guests about room temps being comfortable.

Great place! First time at a B&B and we weren't sure what to expect. It was a great vibe! The place was clean & tidy the carpet in the entrance had some stains but the rooms and the house in general was tidy. The views and sunset was absolutely amazing & being Beachfront made the entire stay absolutely perfect!

Charming house, friendly host, beautiful view. Not a thing! Even the trolley was fun!

We loved watching the sunset over Lake Michigan from the deck.

I really enjoyed my two night stay. Brian was a great host with good local tips and delicious breakfasts.

You couldn’t ask for a better location. Right on the water with a view of the pier and lighthouse. The sunsets were spectacular! Right across the road from the beach, and really close to downtown. The view from the deck was fabulous!

The view was amazing. The room very comfortable and quiet.
