Harbor House Inn

The location is great. Close to restaurants, shopping and the waterfront. Easy drive to the beach and pier. The place is in need of maintenance. The inside really needs to be painted. Our shower handle was broken as was the toilet seat.

Location It is long long overdue for many updates! Not sure I would return.

Close to pier and restaurants/bars. Older building but Staff is friendly and nice.

The location is very convenient and the property met our expectations. We will definitely consider Harbor House Inn when we return to Grand Haven.

Our daughter got sick with expired yogurt at the hotel and it was not really that clean (I.e. our bathroom).

The staff was so kind and helpful. They included a continental breakfast and 24 hr snacks and drinks. Access to a refrigerator and microwave. Right across from the boardwalk. Room was very clean and we had a good size balcony. The only thing would be they haven’t remodeled in quite some time, But I’m sure that would raise prices, so all good.

The Harbor House is a quaint romantic hotel by the Grand River, giving you quick access to the downtown and river walk! The room was well appointed with a King Size bed, Jacuzzi tub, fireplace and a private Deck with river views! The room was clean, the staff was knowledgeable and friendly, providing lots of information on the city and surrounding area! They provide free coffee in the morning, iced tea and lemonade in the evening and a complimentary continental breakfast with full size yogurts, bagels, cereal and hard boiled eggs. You have the choice of eating on the screened in porch or in the lobby area. The hotel needed some paint but I'm sure they will handle that at the end of the tourist season. Overall, my wife and I were very happy with the stay and would stay their again!

Everything was great from friendly attententive staff; great cozy accommodations and delicious coffee and snacks.

Staff were friendly. Breakfast buffet was minimal. Balcony was nice. Room was spacious.

The doors were apparently replaced over the past winter and being an older building, the entryways are not square. The doors were a bit snug in places making them difficult to open or close. A bit quirky but not truly an issue.

Close to everything (within walking distance) very nice staff and great continental breakfast. We LOVED the hand made carmals....OMG, so good. Within viewing (and hearing) of the fountain events; that was very nice. The doors to the rooms need work - very sticky. There could be a light switch JUST inside the bathroom - instead of around the corner. And the potency of an air freshener. These are ALL minimal things and were NOT nor will they be (for future considerations) be a deciding factor, just some minor things I noticed.

The location was great, There were little gnats in our bathroom and not many amenities to speak of for the price we paid.

We went to Grand Haven to spend one day at the beautiful beach and then we wanted a place to spend the night before driving back home the next day. Check in was at 3:00pm, which we were fine with, but because we were there on one of the very, very HOT days we went there at 1:00 to see if they would hold our luggage so our toiletries (ie soap, lotions, my make up, aerosol hair products) didn’t melt or explode. They were not accommodating at all. By the time we were done at the beach my things were melted. Then when we checked in my partners Spotify was still playing and he didn’t realize it and the person behind the desk was quite harsh acknowledging she didn’t like the kind of music that was playing (she thought it was country, which it wasn’t). It was OK, but it had French doors to the outside porch and the window above it had no blinds so there was bright light streaming in the whole night

The location was perfect! The house was antiquated, bed not comfortable, very noisy, not ADA accessible.
