Is this place older, yes. And some things need a deep clean. Like the floorboards. But this was also the most affordable hotel in a very pricey coastal holiday type town, so consider that you’ll be saving around one hundred dollars a night staying here over H—I—- over the river.

Literally don’t stay here. The front desk is a joke and put us in a “non-smoking room” that reeked of cigarettes. When we asked him why, he said “that was the smell of coffee.” He was rude and lied and told us that he only had a King bed available until we called Expedia to cancel our trip and then all of a sudden, he had other double Queen rooms available. When we asked to leave, he refused to fully refund the room, even though the motel was so horrible that we couldn’t even stay for one night. We finally managed to get a partial refund by reaching out to Expedia but somehow still had to pay for 2 full nights.

Location The room smelled like mildew, there were people in and out of the rooms all hours of the night, beer bottles and tops all over the parking lot, room was very dirty especially the bathroom, headboard (covered in dust), side table outlets and light didn’t work, pop machine didn’t work.

Great location and clean No shampoo/ conditioner provided
-
Decent budget option. A little rough around the edges but the rooms are updated, and it's clean and comfortable. There is some road noise but we didn't find it too bothersome.
-
The room smelled like sewer. The window on a ground floor room was broken. It was old and run down. The bedding was dirty on one of the beds. I would not recommend nor will I stay there again.
-
Clean, well maintained. For the price it is an excellent choice
-
Easy to find! Rooms were good. Within the being close to the road, we could hear the cars and trucks.
-
What breakfast? There wasn't even water in the office. Room hasn't been updated since the 1990s, especially the crappy bathroom. And it was noisy from occupants upstairs stomping and playing a radio all night.
-
Bed wasn’t comfortable at all. They’re in need of some major renovations

Centrally located, busy area off highway. Close to beach and stores/restaurants. Parking lot is small and trees leave residue on cars. My husband developed bed bug bites the 2nd day and when we informed management we were told it was too late for a refund and if we couldn't show the bed bugs then they wouldn't refund. Also informed they treat biweekly so we must be wrong about what caused the bites.

For an inexpensive hotel, I had a good experience. Clean, comfortable room. The staff was able to accommodate my need to check in early
-
Location Bedbug in towel.
-
Overall, good value for a one night stay. Loud being close to the highway
-
Location and overall price. Hard beds; blanket and bedspread were very little coverage to keep warm at night; the tub looked very unclean or if from the residual wear and tear they need to resurface the tub; room smelled like a heavy cleaning agent was used to try and cover up heavy cigarette smoke.

Location Nothing

It was what I expected

But: staff were awesome, location is great for access to Grand Haven hotspots, and room was very very cheap relative to other options. 8/10.

The room smelled funny, i did not like that, everything else was ok. The staff was polite but not interactive,. Great location, great price.
