Grizzly Inn

It seemed like this was more of a ‘long term’ hotel with broken down cars in the parking lot. It gave us the feeling to not do laundry for fears our clothes might be stolen.

It was disgusting. The room was filled with cockroaches and bugs! Ended up leaving. So gross. Unclean.

Breakfast non existent,room poorly furnished

The Grizzly Inn was inexpensive, the beds were comfortable. Amenitites were few. Pop machine was unplugged so you had to buy from the from desk for twice the price. Bathroom sink did not drain, bugs were seen around the room. Will not be staying there again.

Nice budget hotel that is very popular with contractors and construction workers. This is not a luxury hotel and if you’re travelling with fussy people you might want to stay somewhere else. If you’re a solo traveller just looking for a cheap place to crash then you’ll be fine. A few homeless people milling about made me concerned about the security of my motorcycle but no problem in the end.

It was ok bed was comfortable Mold around tub poor lighting. No screen on windows. Maid told us we had to take out our own garbage. Traffic in and out all night. Doors slamming all hours of the night. Exit doors slamming all night. Cigarette burns on bed spreads, cigarette burns and scratches on desk and or cabinets. Fridgerator had thick ice needed defrosted big time. We booked a king and gave us a queen. There were no kings they told us.

Check in and parking were easy. However, the whole hotel has quite a smell to it, especially the second floor, a bit like litter box. The room was very run down, broken furniture, rusted microwave. The walls are very thin so if you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you. The free breakfast was yogurt, fruit cup, and coffee. The coffee was good, even if there was a weird sign about not using your own thermos/mug. It was very clear that many people live there full time. Also, the hotel only charges $60 a night, but I paid hotels.com $100. Don’t book this hotel, and if you do, call to book instead of paying all the fees on hotels.com

Staff was nice. The carpeted hallways and the room stunk like some cleaning product gone bad. We killed about 30 cockroaches of various sizes. There were additional flying bugs. The sink had some toilet paper jammed deep into the drain. It did not stop the flow of the water, but it stunk like a dirty diaper. There were a lot of vagrants in the afternoon into the evening. Some were drinking and some were smoking marijuana. The deadbolt did not work. It was obviously unsafe to have people coming and going through three different entrances without any key cards.

There was nasty looking carpet on the floor, which we were told had been cleaned that day and would be damp. On one side of the bed, the carpet was soaked wet as if water was leaking from somewhere. The bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable. At the entrance there was very old carpet that was coming up off the floor. We did have a microwave and fridge in the room which was convenient. We went out to eat and when we came back, there were police at the entrance and the lady who had checked us in was sitting outside. There were very strong cooking smells in the hallways.

The price was good. The room was shabby. Lots of dogs and smokers appear to be living in the motel.

Had to leave an hour after check in as the room was infested with cockroaches crawling all over the walls and crawling on chairs and the bathroom. They came to check the room and immediately told us they would refund us our money because they had no other rooms
