Best Western Greensboro Coliseum Inn

The location was nice and close to UNCG The first day checking in we had to literally yank the door open to get into the hotel to get to our rooms. Once there one room we had no issues opening the door the other room door wouldn't open, after going up to the check in desk 3 times they decided maybe we need a battery so they called maintanice to fix. The carpet in the hallway is so nasty and dirty and the floor in the hallway is wavy and uneven. The rooms were nice but dirty. The chair and ottoman are yellow so you see all the stains and dirt, the bathrooms are small and tight. Our shower had mold along the grout. The rooms had a musty smell to them.

The room was clean and renovated but still had a mildew smell. Didn’t realize that college kids stayed there so it was crowded. No elevator!!!!! You will be taken your bags up a flight of stairs and if you’re in a wheelchair don’t stay there.

Place was great and under $100. I will definitely stay here again. It’s been remodeled so that’s nice and there wasn’t any issues.

In our room the floor was not vacuumed especially around the ac unit. The bed rail had thick dust on it and the window sill was not dusted nor the window cleaned.

The room had several roaches. The tub had a very bad stain and needed to replaced or resurfaced. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was very helpful.

There was a guy outside smoking pot, and the smell was so strong that it came inside and we could even smell it on the second floor. Our room also had a smoke smell, especially on the sheets or pillow. It made me wonder if the bedding had really been changed or freshened up before we arrived. The room itself was a good size and very spacious, but the bathroom was pretty tight. Overall, the staff was friendly and the room was spacious, but the strong “smoke” smells were definitely disappointing.
