The complimentary breakfast was a nice perk. The property also had a pool, which was one of the reasons I chose the hotel, although the pool area itself needed maintenance, including visible spider webs and areas of the ceiling that appeared to be falling apart. The property appeared poorly maintained, particularly the pool area, where there were visible spider webs hanging over the pool and portions of the ceiling appeared to be falling apart. The biggest issue, however, was a serious safety concern. Both myself and another guest reported a man who was repeatedly following, staring at, and winking at us. He also followed me toward my vehicle. I had my daughter with me, and the situation made us extremely uncomfortable even simply walking out of our room. When we reported the behavior to the front desk representative, Kristen, our concerns were brushed off. She said that the man “was just weird like that” and mentioned that he offered her money to hang out with him, as though that somehow made his behavior toward guests acceptable. I did not feel that our concerns were taken seriously or that appropriate steps were taken to ensure guest safety. This significantly affected my ability to feel comfortable at the property.

Breakfast was very good, and the hotel also offers coffee and fresh fruit throughout the day for guests to enjoy. A special thank you to Kristen at the front desk. She is outstanding and truly made our stay even more enjoyable! I highly recommend this hotel, especially for prospective ECU students and parents visiting their college children. The location is extremely convenient, with the campus just minutes away and plenty of restaurants and dining options nearby. It was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely return.

Went for ECU’s Family Weekend, the front desk lady Kristin was more than welcoming. She was extremely sweet, excited for our visit and made us feel like we knew her for years. Also, the hotel was decorated with East Carolina decorations. Guests were welcomed with cute goodie bags to celebrate a home game. The indoor pool was too cold.

The front desk staff were so beyond sweet!!!

It was cute and cozy and all decorated for ECU Parents weekend. The front desk staff - namely KRISTEN (3-11pm) was AMAZING from my first phone call to actual check in. She loves to chat, is always cheerful and made sure I didn’t lose my reservation since I had to alter the days from three nights to two. KIM was also a very helpful front desk staff member. The ability to stream some channels, at least a couple like Netflix and or Hulu. Sometimes Booking.Com doesn’t give you the whole story or muddies the waters a bit. They posted the distance from this property to the school which was less than it was. It was still no more than 5 miles away, but memorial is a long highly traveled road that I guess I thought was on the closer end of the street where memorial crosses closer paths to ECU.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Price was very high for a mid-range hotel, but it was family weekend during football season.

Clean Room smelled a bit musty.

Expedia totally ball and ruined my 50th birthday celebration by doing absolutely nothing pertaining to their job in which they advertise. They are so great at. As a result, I’m currently looking for other lodging being that they did not schedule but one night of my stay. Plus, the fact after using one rewards and paying for the room, I had to pay again for the same room to a tune of combined $900 for a literally nine hour stay at a resort. Period there is no fault by the resort in which I stayed. Everything lies on Expedia for the most terrible experience I’ve ever had going out of town and I want to especially thank them for ruining my 50th birthday. It will be a hot day in heaven before I ever use Expedia again and will always be sure to tell everyone the negative experience that I had because Expedia failed to do their job. Literally every opportunity I get to make a negative comment about Expedia I will do for the rest of my biological life and if there’s a hereafter even then. What a sorry example of third-party booking in this entire world. I usually would not leave a bad review on anyone even with a less than pleasant experience, however, this experience has taken the cake and honestly ruined my entire weekend and my birthday celebration just for general information. I am a traveling musician and book third-party sites all the Time never again while I book on this one do you safer favor and do the same as I by Expedia!
